I have been using the beer cozy sandal as a marine professional for years
These are my go to sandals and I have at least 5 pairs currently in rotation with various rates of wear. Sandals will wear out, especially when you live in San Diego and do very San Diego things. I've had several pairs of all the major brands, Rainbow, Reef, Cobia (I know it's a boat, but theres a sandal with a similar name), volcom, billabong, and more. For the price these hold up as expected, which should be celebrated because none of the other brands have held up as expected at all.. Okay, I had a few pair of Reefs that I loved. These are not going to be a lifelong sandal if you are hard on your sandals. Though, I have only had one sandal actually break, the weak point is in the between the toes part, it starts pulling out. But if you can afford to replace mid-priced sandals once a year or every other year these are the best in my opinion. I drove from OB to Encinitas to get a pair one time, that's how much I think this is the only sandal I want to use. In regards to Rainbows, yes, they last forever. get them wet, leave them in the sun, even after you break them in suffering with constant blisters for 2 months, if you leave them in weather that goes away. They'll survive forever and if I had a doomsday bunker I'd stock it with some Rainbows, but, that's not my situation, and in literally any other situation I

    I first purchased these Sanuk beer cozy flip flops on a trip to Florida on 2012 when my prior ones broke. I was instantly hooked - they were instantly the most comfortable flip flops/sandals I’ve owned. During summers they are my main footwear unless I *have* to wear shoes - love wearing them!!! My first pair lasted many, many years with constant wear - and I was used to flip flops breaking regularly! I was so happy to find them here, and have purchased a couple pair since then - but again they last for a long time!!! They are a bit more expensive but wow they are sooooo worth it!!!

    I've been wearing only these for about 20 years now, nothing like them. They have a squishy material that takes the shape of your foot after a while, and feel custom made. They have a very narrow strap that goes between your toes, so it won't chafe. It is unfortunately always where they eventually fail, every single pair, and it usually waits to do so until you have a long walk somewhere back to where you came from. Many a barefoot walk have I made when that strap finally pulls out. But, even with that, I usually get about a year out of them wearing almost every day. I am not a slipper guy, so I wear these around the house, and sometimes out and about, as well as for any water activities They do take a pretty long time to dry, probably due to the very squishy, porous material they're made out of. Pretty rugged soles that handle rough terrain. I've walked in these places nobody should wear flip-flops and they do surprisingly well.

    Teva Mush were always my favorite flip-flops! But over time Teva changed them & they were no longer as good. I tried a few brands but nothing matched the old Mush. Recently I tried the Sanuk Beer Cozy 2 & loved them. The strap is very comfortable & the bottoms are perfect. Just like the Sanuk shoes, they’re a pleasure to wear. Hopefully Sanuk will never change them!!
