I bought this seeing mixed reviews but was lured in by the good price and a confidence that the consumers rating these were likely amateur builders riding the pc trend. The drivers are in fact quite bad, and ultimately the solution to the multiple issues they presented was to just disable all of the cool perks that i bought the Card for in the first place. I was excited about the image sharpening, anti-lag, and enhanced sync features which would crisp up the already juicy 8gigs but I found them to interfere with either image quality or fluidity of gameplay.
It does also has inconsistent connectivity, meaning occasionally, around 1-2 times a week it will not display on the monitor, but it itself with a restart. It also occasionally disconnects in the middle of whatever you're doing and needs a restart. This could be an individual issue with mine specifically, but I know it's not my cables. Driver issues and the overall performance should be universally consistent though.
Independent of the cool perks (that didn't really work), the card's specs are good for the price. You get the 8gigs, good speed, and it can handle high/highest game quality pretty well. I'm coming off of a GTX 1060 3GB, which is a budget card that was very consistent, simple, and performed well 100% of the time. I can see a good jump in quality compared to that, but I did buy the RX for more than just the raw specs, so it's disappointing to not get the bonus stuff out of the deal.
My two benchmark games were Apex Legends and Monster Hunter World, and I was getting around 90fps (apex) and 80fps (mhw) with insanity level graphics, which is not bad for a pc that's not far above budget level.
Overall I'm not happy with card because it could be so much more if it had drivers as good as NVIDIA. The specs are there, the price is good, but all the bells and whistles that make the RX really cool don't actually work or make any noticeable difference. The inconsistency is bothersome as well. I would not recommend this card, especially to new pc builders. It's cost me a few hours of research and trial/error, and was definitely not a plug and play out of the box like the 1060 was.
