Umm, weather, animals, contracted service providers... need I say more?
It's a good thing no one is superstitious, right?
Derek, the groom, is new to country life and has never met Gabby's family before. No pressure, right?
Told with hilarious moments and disastrous potential, this is a romance for the record books.
When sparks fly between the brother of the groom and sister of the bride... that isn't bad, is it?
Gabby and Dereck are hot, hot, hot when they manage to find brief moments alone. (Adult content)
From the very beginning I was rooting for this couple but until the very end, anything could happen. Very few hours went by before they were confronted with a new challenge, supremely well written to make us feel included right on the front lines.
Speaking of hours, I dare you to sit down to read this book and not find yourself settling in.
We go to Sapphire Falls for the wedding of
Gabby Brown to Derek Novello.
The couple lives in LA where Gabby is an
aspiring actress and dog walker. Derek works
as a personal trainer and exercise instructor.
Gabby's hometown is Sapphire Falls where
she was raised on a farm. The farm has
silky haired goats, angora cats, sheep, bee
hives, chickens and dogs.
The couple are going to pick up a camper to
set on the farm. But the camper turns out to
be a wooden portable small house owned
by a gypsy who was willing to rent it to them.
What a way to start their wedding plans!!!
Add in the Sapphire Falls festivities, a fire,
hailstorm, a muddy wedding dress, cupcakes
rained upon, a minister cancellation then a
minister who has an allergic reaction, a
traveling chapel and a motorcycle riding
brother arriving unexpectedly and the wedding
plans drastically change by the minute.
Will either Gabby or Derek decide to cancel
the wedding and elope??
Creatively written with interesting, well
developed, feisty and quirky characters.
Vividly described settings. Some steamy
A quick read proving that things can work out
with patience and persistence.
I volunteered to read Going to the Chapel.
Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My
opinion is my own.
Though neither is particularly superstitious, these two run into a string of wedding-related disasters the likes of which will likely never again be seen by this warm-hearted, cheery small town!
Ms. Forte has penned a charming story that gives us a peek at the roller coaster of emotions and events that lead up to this couple's big day. Good friends and the love of family as well as what is truly important about a wedding remain the focus of this lovely tale.
While this ties in to Ms. Forte's LA Love Lessons series, it stands well alone, and is definitely worth the read!
"Going to the Chapel" (love the title) is a warm, wonderful and funny love story wrapped up in wedding preparations. I already knew Gabby and Derek from their story, "Waiting for the Big One", and it was lovely to see them again. When characters feel real, the story just sings, and author PG Forte has a gift for writing those sort of characters.
