About the Author
Erin Nicholas is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over thirty sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun. She loves to write about reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines and happily ever afters. She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!). I bought this so I could color with my daughter. I have read a few of the Sapphire Falls stories by Erin Nicholas. When I received this coloring book I felt like I could identify more with Sapphire Falls. I thoroughly am enjoying this coloring book. It allows me to color and spend time with my daughter which is a plus but also get more knowledge of the town.
The Sapphire Falls Coloring book is a must by. I highly recommend this. I give it five stars.
The book features 17 illustrations on one side of the page only. Preceding each illustration is a short excerpt from one of her contemporary romance stories that features the building or scene that follows on the coloring page. The excerpts are awesome. If you've never read Nicholas before, they'll convince you to give her work a try. I would say that most are PG to sweet in content, but a couple are PG-13.
The illustrations are simple and I do like to see an author using this format to engage her readers. I will note that some of the drawings are very simple, and have an 'architectural' feel to them. Almost like drafting drawings with very little perspective.
The paper is thin to medium and there is marker bleed through, but not excessive. The pages are not perforated, but all drawings end well before the margins so you could easily cut them out.
I like that at the back of the book there is a list of her books, and you can check off which ones you've read.
If you are a romance reader, you will like that this book incorporates two of your favorite things—reading and coloring!
