Ellie is the beneficiary of half of her late uncle's estate. The uncle she has barely seen since her father walked out on her and her mother. The lawyer informs her of the person holding the other half of the estate but she is responsible for all communication with him after this point.
Dillon is on leave from the police department as a result of an on the job injury. He just wants his life back. He wants to live peacefully at the home he helped Miles build in Sapphire Falls. He has zero desire to deal with Miles's uptight niece that's never even bothered to show her face, even when her uncle was sick and dying.
What happens when Ellie can see through the games Dillon is playing against himself? Can he handle someone that calls him on his own crap? Can Ellie trust a man after what her father did to her?
This novella was awesome but like all novellas, it leaves you wanting more. I'd definitely recommend this one!!!
Ellie's uncle leaves her half his property in his will, the other half going to his 'step-son'. They have never met. Ellie hasn't had contact with her uncle in ten years, since her father left her.
The two of them have immediate chemistry, a misunderstanding, then insta-love. There wasn't much else to the book.
Neither are aware they have both inherited Miles' estate. Dillon heard all about Ellie from Miles, but is blown away by Ellie herself. She is still hurt by her father and more secrets come to light that drive a wedge between them.
I like how Molly and Dillon got along and fell for each other but need it pointed out by many people first.
You are a fantastic author Molly.
