When returning to work after the birth of her first daughter Maddy, Sarah knew she wanted to continue her breastfeeding journey. For Sarah, this meant schlepping a ton of bags to and from home on her commute into Washington, D.C. Carrying a bag for her breast pump and pump accessories, a bag for her laptop, as well as her purse, she knew that there had to be a more functional, yet stylish solution for working moms using a breast pump. After discussing with family and new mom friends, meeting a mentor, developing a prototype, and finding a manufacturer, Sarah Wells Bags was born. “This is the most rewarding job. I get to engage everyday with new mom customers and it really makes me feel so good to provide them with a product that makes their lives a little bit easier and also more stylish.” — Sarah Wells, Founder of Sarah Wells Bags.
Sarah is a 30-something mama living in the DC area with her two girls, Maddy (7), Abby (3), and husband Greg. She's a yoga-pant-loving, Thai-food-obsessed, photographer-wanna-be, always-inventing-things-entrepreneur. Before starting Sarah Wells Bags, Sarah led several national nonprofits, where she raised millions of dollars for women’s health and consumer advocacy issues. Sarah Wells Bags is the brainchild of this mad-scientist inventor/advocate who struggled with breastfeeding her first born.
Built for pumping mamas, by a pumping mama. Each Sarah Wells Bag is designed and prototyped by Sarah herself.
The Lizzy easily fits most portable-sized electric breast pumps. See the Sarah Wells' Kelly Bag for larger hospital-grade pumps.

UPDATE: Shortly after I posted this review, SW sent me a pad for the shoulder strap, which greatly improved the comfort of carrying the bag. The zippers are holding up well, although the face of the bag with the small compartment is getting droopy. All in all an okay bag, but the price point is still a bit steep for what you get.
It’s great that my Spectra fits in the side pocket, and that there’s room for a cooler bag, extra bottles, flanges, baby needs and even my lap top.
However - I honestly would prefer a bag just to hold my pump and cooler and the flanges. Because this bag is HUGE. It’s literally too much to carry this bag and even my purse. Keep in mind a mom on the go still needs a purse, and is usually carrying the baby carrier, I also have a toddler so I need to bring a diaper bag anyways because this does not leave room for everything we need for two.
Also, when you put anything in the center of the bag, and pull either the pump or cooler out of its pocket, everything falls into that space and you have to rearrange just to get the pump or cooler back in.
I get compliments on the bag all the time, but it’s still not worth $100 in my opinion, really the most I think it should cost is $60.
9month after use, this bag is still in great shape. I stuff this bag so full every time I go to work since I also put my lunch in it, and I push it into all different places, I am definitely not gental with this bag, and this bag is still great. However, if you use spectra s2 like me and put a Medela cooler in the small compartment, the cooler fits really tight in there, and I have to squeeze the sides to get zipper to close every time. But the zipper is still working great after being abused for 9 month.
so I have used this bag for 3 month, still love it. I like the fact people don’t know it is a pumping bag, although I get comments asking why my bag is so big LOL. I really think if you push the 2 inside pickets aside, it is a very big decent diaper bag or you can use it for packing whatever purposes. It can hold lots of stuff.
The pattern on this bag looks cute on the website, but once I got bag itself, I was disappointed a little bit as it isn’t as cute as I thought would be, but this could be just my opinions. But the bag itself is well made, I appreciate the little details this bag provides. The two compartments in the bottom can fit my spectra s2 (in bigger compartment) and Mandela cooler (in small compartment) very well. I can definitely use it as a regular work bag after my pumping life ended, the two compartments can be my lunch compartments since they are insulated. I like the size of this bag, it is not as crazy big as other pumping bag, which I feel I probably wouldn’t use after pumping section ended because of the big size, this bag actually just looks like a regular tote bag. Will update after I start using it for work.
