Oh wow... I'm eating this as I write... first bite and everything. This chocolate is fantastic! The texture is spot on -- the dark chocolate snaps in your mouth which means it's been tempered perfectly. As I chew and the chocolate begins to melt the rich flavors really begin to shine. This is a full-bodied, bittersweet cocoa with a slightly roasted taste (which definitely comes from the coffee) and a something else that tastes familiar... maybe that's the Kola nut? Whatever it is, those flavors together make a hecking good chocolate!
This is easily one of the best chocolates I've tasted. I'm a Chef and Sommelier, so food and drink are my life and livelihood >>> trust, this is great stuff!
I really like the packaging, too. Nice vintage look, but also super convenient. The metal tin keeps the chocolate safe, and doesn't disintegrate when bounced around in my pocketbook. Oh wait... here comes the caffeine kick... wow! That's an excellent little perk!
Cons: yeah, Scho-ka-kola has a history to it, which makes eating this brand a bit eerie. Read the story of this brand before buying and make your own informed decision. I actually struggled with it for a bit, but finally made a choice I feel ok with.
I say buy the chocolate for chocolates sake and enjoy a great quality ADULT candy.

These things are great. They give you a bit of zip and are on the bitter side, and are pretty heat tolerant. But for the love of god, if you feel weird after eating one, dont eat any more.

I get heart palpitations from time to time. If i have too much caffeine it'll make my heart act up. After eating half a tin over the course of a week (1-2 pieces a day) with a cup or two of coffee each day, i felt like i was going to have a heart attack. Kola nut is not something to fool around with. It wont make you bounce off the walls if a few cups of coffee dont, and it gives you a much milder energy buzz, but it has more lasting effects on the body than just a caffeine crash.

So dont be dumb like me and ignore the signs. Be careful when you try this. Definitely do not have it with coffee.

Getting past the idea of spending around $9 for a small amount of chocolate, this stuff is great. Its a very pleasant tasting dark chocolate, with a hint of coffee to it, not overly strong "dark chocolate wise" which I am thankful for, but "dark enough" to resist eating it all in a sitting. (I like dark chocolate but like milk chocolate better, and can eat more of it in a sitting)

I wanted to give this stuff a try, and this was the cheapest single can I could find. I will be buying more now for sure.

Is it worth trying? I think so. Its not worth buying to be your only source of chocolate, unless you hardly eat the stuff. Its has history behind it, tastes good, and is nice to find a chocolate/coffee combo.

Nice dark chocolate. I think its well balanced. Not bitter, sweet enough. Slight coffee flavor, but less than some of the small maker "espresso" chocolate bars. On the hard side. It was delicious with a black dark roast drip coffee. Shoe polish style tin can. Eight individual wedges. Priced like a premium chocolate bar. I wish they sold a less expensive version, as a regular chocolate bar.

The chocolate arrived in good shape, but my tin lid was loose. The taped seal was intact and held the lid on.

Only order things that melt, if you'll have a period of cool weather during the delivery period. Even if it's only in the 60s, a few hours on a sunny front porch could hurt the chocolate.

Metal cans like this, usually come sealed with plastic "tape" or shrink wrapper.

Chocolate does not improve with age. When it arrives, eat it. The "best before" date is probably just a safety guideline.

Heard about this stuff from the InRange TV YouTube channel, shipping from Europe was surprisingly fast. The tin is very nice and the chocolate is excellent. Not the best tasting stuff I have ever tried, but really good and the caffination has an appreciable effect. One wedge gets me going, two wedges really packs a punch. Highly recommended.

Delicious! It beats an afternoon cup of coffee or an energy drink (bleh) and the little bit of chocolate tames any sweet/snack craving those last few hours of shift or those last few miles of the trail before the summit! Might be a little pricey but one little wedge having almost the same caffeine as (and considering the price of) a cup of coffee and being high quality chocolate? I'll justify it :)

After sampling a piece I couldn't stop thinking about it.

It's like the perfect melding of chocolate and coffee. It is the epitomy of bittersweet in the best possible way, and the tin it comes in is neat too.

Just one wedge and I went from snoring in the nod to singing and gesticulating wildly within 5 minutes. The placebo effect was ruled out. It does work, and the tin is larger than expected. A good value for road fatigue if you might go through a couple of energy drinks in a day.
