This was my first time reading anything by this author and besides the few typos here and there I was really impressed and being an avid reader/ reviewer it takes a lot to impress me. Each sister was going through some type of tribulation which made it easy to connect and sympathize with them.
The conclusion was summed up very quickly as it jumped to 17 years later. It would have been better if the author gave us some insight on what happened in between. Like for example how did Tia feel about her mom being locked up? Did the cops even attempt to look for her ex boyfriend? It was a lot of questions that I felt needed to be answered. Even when the prisoners were asking Sasha the questions at the end she was very vague with her answers. Overall it was a pretty good read.... quick, but good!
