I'm using this on a Nexus 5, and although it doesn't work out of the box, it's not too difficult to get it working as intended.
My Nexus uses Nova Launcher which is configured by default to 'Launch Preview' whenever the home button is pressed. Since the home button is supposed to launch 'Google Voice Search', I changed Nova Settings --> Gestures and Inputs --> Home Button --> 'Show Previews' to 'Voice Search'. I'm assuming that different launchers have similar settings, but if you can't find a similar config option you can always use an app such as 'Home Button Launcher' to configure Google Voice Search to launch in response.
The second problem I faced was that when the button is paired with my device, the on-screen keyboard no longer appears (since the button is considered to be a keyboard). Satechi tech support suggested the following config change: Settings --> Keyboard & Input --> Under Keyboard & Input Methods tap Default and set “Physical keyboard” to off.
But on the Nexus 5 running Android 5.1.1 the only option that seemed to work was to change Settings --> Language and Input --> tap Keyboard & Input Methods / Current Keyboard and on the Change Keyboard screen, Enable 'Show input method'.
Now that it's working, it seems to work well. But 1 star off for the difficult configuration and for failing to document these items in either the documentation or support site.
EDIT: I've removed a second star because it doesn't seem to pair with multiple bluetooth devices. e.g. there are two drivers on my car and the button can only save pairing information for a single phone, so the only way we can use it is to either limit it's use to one of the drivers OR repair the device each time a different driver uses the phone.

The home button does as advertised, it needs a few carefully timed pushes to get it to work though. It seems to need three pushes to get to Siri, one to wake the button, one to wake the iPhone and the slightly longer 'Siri button push' to invoke Siri. Ok when your looking at your phone, not not so easy when driving to get the timing right which lead to frustration. I didn't use the sticky pad to mount the button, seems it would be difficult to change the battery later with the pad over the battery door. I modified the supplied steering wheel mount to fit on my CD slot mount, no sticky mess left on my dash this way.
