I wasn't sure if I would get the Jazz or the Bullets, but Jazz looked more like an outdoor shoe and Bullet looked like a track shoe. I jog a lot. I always use an arch insert because my doctor told me to. It helps my my flat feet and my bad knees. But really, these shoes have been so great. I really wish I tried them years ago, but I'm pretty much sold for life!
Looking through the reviews, it was hard for me to find a lot of people talking about how they felt running, but they are a soft, smooth run for me. They're very light and have excellent support.
I can't say how long they'll last, but maybe after buying my next pair, I'll have a better grasp of that. That is why I only put "average" for durability.
I'm very excited about these shoes. You should buy them in many colors. That's my plan.
It's a trade off and one that I am ok with.
They have terrible durability. I've never paid so little for a shoe, nor gotten so little -- about 3 months of use before I scuffed right through the canvas by the toe. The heel had pretty much given up (I don't untie my tennies, but NB hold up to that just fine). These are shoes I wore after work and on the weekend, so it's not like they're a high-mileage daily driver.
Also, they hold odor like nothing else I've worn. Probably because they soak up any and all moisture and don't want to give it up. Walk across a dewy lawn? You're gonna be soaked to the socks in ten paces. Hot day? Your dogs are sweatin' all they can, but not cooling off. All that gets locked in to a foot stew brewed up in the shoes that you can smell from your feet to your nose. I have never otherwise had a foot odor problem; whether wearing my all-leather dress shoes to work or my 574's around the house.
No, I'm not a vegan. I just wanted to see if they made a better shoe... they don't. If all the other 5 star reviews for these shoes are framed from the perspective of folks who wear only vegan shoes, I feel bad for whatever your other options must be. I would not buy these again nor even recommend them to someone I didn't like.
