Overall, I'm satisfied with the durability, weight and fit after several months of owning them.
Great fit and my toes don't travel to the end of the shoe on long walks/runs, causing unnecessary toe pain.
The pair that I received fit great right out of the box and I took them out for a fast five mile run.

Bought a pair of GTX to run in the rain during winter, mainly because my Peregrine trail shoes are a bit too rigid for long distances on paved roads (unless there is snow) and nothing will wear down the upper mesh of regular sports shoes like rain and mud.
The GTX will keep your feet dry, but grip could have been improved vs. normal Kinvara on wet roads. Performance on muddy stretches is not good.
If Saucony were to release a pair in between the GTX and Peregrine, I would probably go for those instead.

Very disappointed as I was looking forward to these Gore-Tex shoes. I am a long time Saucony customer and while the size of these fit as expected, there is a hard lump (as hard piece of plastic) where the tongue is sewn to the inside of the shoe. Even comfortable socks didn't provide enough cushion against this bulge. This seam bulges inside the shoe rubbing against my foot near the front of the ankle as was too much discomfort even on the first step.

As usual Saucony has done it again, shoes worth the cost. Great fit and my toes don't travel to the end of the shoe on long walks/runs, causing unnecessary toe pain. Will stick with these shoes since Saucony knows hows to make a great shoe.

I purchased these several months ago and having read reviews wanted to provide some feedback. I've run several marathons and completed 2 full IM, so plenty of running experience (this is the first pair of Kinvara's I've owned though)
Durability: I've now logged almost 400 miles in mine - admittedly that is longer than I normally run in a pair of shoes, but the low-drop of these seems to be getting more wear from them. The cloth along both big toes is starting to frey some, and that started about 200 miles into this pair - so as some have pointed out, there might be a little bit of an issue. At the same time, I've also worn mine for at least another 20 bike sessions of 60-90 minutes indoors which has left them soaked in sweat. IMO the miles and the soaking I've given these proves they're a durable shoe.
Weight: these are a very light shoe, but provide enough support for long runs (over 10miles).
Fit: they fit fine, I have a normal gait, but a little bit of outward turn in my right leg due to breaking in years ago. in every other pair of running shoes I've ever owned that meant my left big toe would eventually get a big calous build up. However, these Kinvara's have resulted in a calous building on my right big-toe, and sometimes a deep tissue blister following long hill runs (8or more miles).
Overall, I'm satisfied with the durability, weight and fit after several months of owning them.

I bought this based on previous like of Kinvara 3's. I walk about 125-150miles per month and the 3's had been the best yet for comfort and durability. The 4 has a similar fit, style and feel, and as expected, the comfort is the same. Based on the performance of the 3's I expect these will do as well.

I've been a goretex user for over 25 years and have yet to be disappointed. Haven't had the need of the goretex yet. Noticed that the goretex is a bit stiffer and noisier but it's not a deterrent.

I have been running in Kinvara 2, 3, and 4. I have always liked the shoe. The pair that I received fit great right out of the box and I took them out for a fast five mile run. Not a worry. It was dry out and no rain, but I will run in them when I get a rainy day. Kinvara shoes are very consistent with little to no deviation in size or fit. We have all seen how you can get two pairs of the same shoe and the the fit and feel differently. You see that in pants and shirts too. I've never seen that in Kinvara and hope I never do. I highly recommend these shoes , Kinvara, and Saucony.

Very light weight but supportive. Comfortable on long walks but haven't run in them yet. I pronate a lot, especially on my left foot & this light weight shoe gives good support. Sized a little on the small side; I'm between sizes 10.5 & 11 and the 11 fit best. Saving these for inclement weather with their Gore-Tex lining. Very bright color, be prepared. I bought these elsewhere but felt these deserve my approval.

Buffalo winters require a shoe like this. They're very lightweight, with a large toebox, and worked great for all of my runs, including the spring melt puddles. My socks occasionally got a little wet, but they mostly kept the water and snow out, and had a good grip in the snow and ice. 400 miles later, the sole is holding up well.

The one piece of advice I would give is to not tie these too tightly. When tied tightly, they pinch across the tops of the feet, and it'll hurt the next day.

I'll definitely be getting another pair next winter.
