Anyhoo, to the fit and comfort. I'm a bartender three days a week and a waitress two days a week. I also clean houses and walk five miles several times a week for exercise. My sneakers take a LOT of beating. I received these tonight and put them on and wore them to work expecting a few blisters from breaking them in. Pleasantly surprised to find no blisters and not a bit of discomfort! Can't wait to wear them waitressing next week, I'm sure my feet will be as happy then as they are tonight!
They fit great and it's like walking on air!
I like the colors - they aren’t too flashy, so I can wear them just about anywhere (I even wore them to work a few times). I do feel like they make my feet look kind of big, but that’s not really an issue when I’m out running. One thing I do think is a little strange is that if I wear bright colored socks I can see them through the mesh in the shoe. The thin mesh does keep them cool and comfortable though, so it’s a trade off. The shoes have held up fine so far in the months that I’ve had them - I’m more of a casual jogger, so I’m certainly not anywhere close to running them into the ground. I expect they will last me a good while yet. When I need to replace them I won’t hesitate to buy another pair of Saucony Cohesions!
I have worn Saucony shoes for 25 years since my mom bought me a pair in junior high when my high arches demanded more than Keds during gym class. I wore the Shadow 6000 for years and adored the way they fit and felt. They stopped making them for a while and I bounced around through Asics, New Balance, and various REI offerings. When the Shadow 6000 came back I jumped for joy and bought several pairs. After those wore out I was determined to find a replacement that looked and felt better; as much as I loved the Shadow 6000, it looked like it came from the set of "That 70s Show" with its dusty pink and purple accents on the ever dirty white base color. I know vanity shouldn't matter, but I wear my running shoes all day to keep me active after my two small children.
After I tried MANY of the offerings by Saucony, I tried on the Cohesion 7 and it was like putting supportive clouds on my feet! The sun streamed into the windows and Barry White sang and I have been running in them happily ever since. The styling is modern and SO much easier to keep clean than the Shadow 6000. There is side mesh material that keeps my typically hot feet cool and comfortable, no more swampy hot feet that demand a sock change mid-day. The footbed is firm yet yielding, the ball of the heel has extra spring to boost your stride and cushion your landing. The sides cradle your foot in place without allowing side slipping. The sole is VERY grippy and will keep your foot where you put it regardless of if it is a treadmill or street hill. When I take them off at the end of the day my feet feel fine, they do not suffer from aching arches or heel pain.
I love these shoes!!!
