Not for me, but might be great for you
May 18, 2015
Supinators (and maybe some neutral-gaited) people, this is NOT your shoe.
Saucony is a very good, reliable brand. The quality of the shoe is great. There's good cushioning, stability and plenty of support. The shoe fit me very well (9.5 D), and there were no hotspots that caused me any blisters or other discomfort.
That said, this is not the shoe for me. I am a neutral-gaited person who tends toward supination (my podiatrist's words). I don't care for lots of cushioning and I don't need a lot of support. I don't like squishing around and too much (for me) cushioning actually throws my gait off. I also have plantar facsiitis and shoes with -- for me -- too much cushioning aggravate my condition. (NOTE: By other people's standards, the cushioning in this shoe is probably normal to good.)
Why did I buy this shoe in the first place? I had a WONDERFUL pair of Saucony walking shoes in the early aughts, and I've never been able to find them since. I keep trying Saucony hoping that I'll come upon the style that replaced the ones I had back then.
Anyway, IF you are a pronator and/or if you need lots of support and/or cushioning, this is a good shoe. I think you would find this shoe worth a try.
