All in all I love it! I actually bought a second one as well.

Okay! This unit is pretty dandy. Very easy to put together and pretty sturdy. Now I was hesitant to buy it after seeing the pictures with the bowed shelves. The explanation behind that is not flimsy shelving but rather the shelves are just a tad too long to fit inside the unit. And just barely! A few taps with a hammer and they're in. So the shelves aren't bending because they're flimsy, they're actually pretty durable. It's just they don't quite fit so it looks like the weight of the DVDs is bending them.

I bought two of these to fit into a particular space, stacking one upon the other and securing the higher one with supplied L-bolts to the wall, for DVD storage. It works great (see photos), with the two stacked units very stable. Yes, there is a potential problem with the relatively long unsupported shelves sagging (as noted in other reviews), but I solved it easily by using the two left-over shelves per unit (because of the DVD heights not needing all the shelves to store) from which I carefully cut supports that sit upright in the middle of each open space (a solution also mentioned by other reviewers), supporting each load-bearing shelf in turn (see photos). Easy, inexpensive, and looks great, with no possibility of future sagging if, say, one's house humidity is high. I've purchased a number of different-sized Sauder storage towers over the years and they are good-looking inexpensive products easily adaptable to many different situations (see photo with DVDs filling the shelves around the central cut supports), especially when using a little ingenuity. So I've got a huge DVD storage area neatly tucked away in an otherwise unused corner of the house. I am happy to highly recommend this product.

Update: Cathy in customer service was very helpful and shipped me the missing part then next day. Received part a few days later. Installed and good to go! Upgraded to 5 stars.
Color: Cinnamon CherryVerified Purchase
Received it in a couple of days as expected. Everything was packaged well and there was no damage. Rather simple to put together but I took my time especially with the back card. It would help to measure it out as per the instructions. For Blu-rays I set up using four of the shelves. The Blu-rays (depth) do not extend from the edge of the shelf (see included picture). I can't speak to as whether or not the shelves will sag but I don't think there's enough weight in a row for Blu-rays to do that. If so, I'll just use a blocker in the middle to support them. Since I am only using the shelf for Blu-rays and perhaps some old multimedia for folder with old DVDs, I had two shelves left over. As you can see I put one on the bottom and I also put one on the top shelf (doubling up). You should be able to see this in one of the pictures I'm attaching to this review. I did not give five stars because I was missing a part, there are supposed to be 5 feet and I only got four. I will call the company who's phone number is on the instructions tomorrow for the part and depending on whether or not if that's an easy experience, and I get the part in a timely manner I might bump it up to a five. As far as the color goes it seems to me to be more brown than any brown-reddish or cinnamon colored. So in my case it happened to match my TV console and other furniture in my living room.

I bought this for my blu-ray/UHD media, most have the same size case. This shelf unit comes with 6 adjustable shelves. If you count the base level, that's 7 levels for storage. For strictly blu-ray media storage one shelf will go unused. You'll get 5 levels of vertical (standard height plastic) cases. One level will have to be horizontal storage. You'll get +/- 60 cases vertically on a shelf. Shelving every sixth peghole creates the perfect height for standard case blu-ray media, only 1/8" to spare. You can gap seven pegholes on one to three levels to accommodate taller special edition / boxed sets.
Challenges:
1) A complete row of my "3D" blu-ray sets weighs 15.5 pounds. A complete row of my standard blu-rays weighed 10.5 pounds. Both above the 7 pound printed shelf limit. 60 3D blu-rays on a shelf displayed immediate visible bowing, though minor. Over time I can see that bowing worsening, pinching the cases on the level below (remember only 1/8 inch gap, top of case to upper shelf, between levels. Of course, if all shelves bow, no pinch.
2) At every 6th peghole shelf spacing (1/8 inch gap above the case), a vertical blu-ray case will not sit flat against the inside wall. The pegs that hold the upper shelf prevent this. You'll have to forfeit one disc space or lay the end case on it's long side.
3) Each adjustable shelving displays a thin strip of particle board between the front facing and deck killing any simulation of solid wood.
Modification:
Once I decided on my shelf spacing, I used the unused shelf to cut centerline spacers to prevent bowing. I started at the bottom gap, measured, and cut a piece to support the center of the above shelf. Then went up to the next level, then repeat up to the last supported shelf. If you cut the spacers to a tight fit, they'll friction fit. I came up one support short from the spare shelf, so I had to use a spare piece from another DVD shelf unit.
An acceptable unit once the bowing potential is addressed.
Color: Cinnamon CherryVerified Purchase
If you plan on using this shelf for maximum storage of media, a modification will be required to avoid shelf bowing. They advertise in the bullet points ""Holds 280 DVDs or 426 CDs". Yet printed in the instructions is a supported shelf weight limit of 7 pounds. Each peg supported shelf is over 31 inches long. I can't think of any media, stacked vertically, filled across a 31 inch span, weighing 7 pounds or less.

I love this tower
Reviewed in Canada on June 4, 2016Color: Cinnamon CherryVerified Purchase
I love this tower, specially because I can always find a new one as my collection grows, I bought the first one 4 years ago and today I have 4 of them. I don't like to put my music on the floor, so I installed them 1m up on the wall and it worked great. My only complain is the shelves tend to bend with the weigh, but it never failed or show any crack given the weigh I've put on them nor having to disassemble-reassemble for a moving, so, for the price is a great deal. This photos show how I mounted them as my collection growed.

A Decent DVD Cabinet
Reviewed in Canada on July 26, 2017Color: Cinnamon CherryVerified Purchase
Its made from particle board which is what I suspected at the time of purchase. It isn't a big deal to me and it is fitting to the price. Assemby is easy, but you need to pay attention to how the push through blind studs work. If you are used to Ikea, these work backwards. The end result is a CD/DVD cabinet that looks decent and is functional. The shelves sit on the pins at either end. The bottom of the shelf is not notched for the pins. A shelf will hold about 54 DVD. The cabinet is basically a partical board square shell with what looks like a compressed card board colored backing that is nailed in place using small finishing nails. Its this backing that gives the finished assembly integrity and keeps the square square. Eventually the backing will swell and push the nails out. This will take a few years so if you want this to last, you'll be reinforcing this assembly using wood strips or other. A word of caution - the cabinet is narrow, tall and top heavy when loaded with media. It should be anchored to the wall as a matter of course.
If it sounds like I am damning this product, I am not. THIS is what you get for $70 and it does the job. Don't expect to be passing it on in your will and just enjoy the functionality. It does just fine and I'm happy with what I got.

Nice Colour and Price
Reviewed in Canada on February 1, 2019Color: Cinnamon CherryVerified Purchase
Very easy to assemble, just gotta do a little hammering and the price was good enough as well. Enjoying the easily adjustable shelving space. Now even though I am improperly using the shelves because I laid the games I'm storing on their backs. Well that has caused some sagging, something to look out for with your own. Otherwise this has been a nice shelving unit to own.
