We found the exact same product in local retail stores for double what we paid for at Amazon.

The title pretty much says it all. I was very happy with the condition of the cabinet when it arrived - it is very well packaged and had zero damage from shipping.

Assembly was straight-forward. As I was putting it together, I was amazed how precise the various holes lined up exactly where they were supposed to. No slop. Tight fitting. Well engineered.

The assembly instructions were terrific. Lots of accurate drawings that showed some of the subtle but important distinctions that you need to pay attention to for proper assembly.

If you have assembled any of this type of furniture before, this will be a snap. If you've never assembled anything in your life, I think this would still be pretty easy. Again, well illustrated assembly manual, parts that fit together perfectly. The most challenging issue you will face will be the hinges. I had never hung doors so had no experience with all of the necessary adjustments. It took me a few minutes to figure out how the hinges were to be installed, and then a few more to sort out how to adjust them to make the doors fit. Eventually figured it out.

And the bottom line is it is a very pretty piece of furniture that I was able to get for a fraction of retail.

I would have given this 5 stars because I really love this stand, however, it arrived with a 4-inch scratch on the top piece. I didn't send it back because we've had our tv on the floor for 2 weeks, and frankly, I just didn't feel like dealing with the hassle. It's a thin scratch, but still, a product should arrive without damages. It is made in the USA, which is a bonus.

What I like so much about this piece is the color. I've been looking at stands for quite some time, and most are a cherry, deep brown, or black, none of which really went with our other pieces. If you are looking for something in this price range, it's the closest thing to looking like real wood that I have come across. It looks more expensive than it is, and the "iron" decorative pieces add a nice touch.

I have a 21-month-old, and he has been slamming the doors. Both the glass and doors are very sturdy.

It came with a ton of pieces, but my husband (who luckily is very handy )had it put together in about 20 minutes. If you aren't the handy type, expect it will take some time to set it up.

Overall, if I overlook the scratch, which I chose to do, I really enjoy having this in our living room. We have our 42" tv on it, and it looks great.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing the Sauder Registry Row Amber Pine TV Stand and I was still a bit surprised at how nice it is. The first thing I noticed when unpacking the parts was the realistic veneer. I won't say that you can't tell it's not solid wood, but I couldn't distinguish it at a glance. Everything was well packed and I noticed no blemishes. I took my time on the assembly, but did it alone in roughly an hour. The unit is pretty heavy so don't plan to do it alone if you aren't comfortable with heavy lifting. The instructions covered the assembly process well and a few spare fasteners were included. Cabinet door mounting and adjustment was the hardest part, but was not difficult. I loosened the hinge's mount screws (you'll see these in the instructions on that page) to make fitting the doors to the unit easier and then it was just a matter of adjusting here and there to get everything level with even gaps and tightening the mount screws.

Once it was assembled I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for the money. I like the look. Probably my only negative on the aesthetics would be the fake screw heads on the door knob plate. That's a very minor negative in my opinion, but they are easy to spot as fakes while everything else looks quite realistic.

It fits a 42" flat screen pretty much perfectly for my taste. There is room for a larger version of my TV and it's well under the weight limit, but the 42" TV is just a couple of inches shy of reaching the edges of this stand on each side. I also have a cable box, DVD player in the open shelf and VCR inside with lots of room to spare in the cabinet (3 leftover shelf spots).

After looking at furniture stores I got disgusted. I could not find what I wanted for under $400 and they don't stock anything. It takes a week to deliver. Plus $59 to deliver and you have to assemble it. What's up with that!
I check at Amazon and could not believe the price difference and two day delivery with prime.
I bought this to put two printer on and store paper. It worked perfect.
The assembly went well because of clear instructions. Probably because it was made in the USA.
Everything fit perfectly even the pilot holes for screws were precise. Everything was well thought out
Good quality at a reasonable price. Fast delivery.

This is a solid piece of furniture and the metal accents are a very nice touch. On more than a few occasions with this type of furniture some of the predrilled holes do not line up or the pieces don't fit together properly. This was not the case with this item. Everything lined up perfectly and assembly was easy and straight forward with one exception. I knocked off a star because of the door assembly. I am a big guy and I had to put every thing I had into screwing the door hinges into the stand. The screws that mount the hinge to the door itself, no problem. My wife had to brace the stand so I could put enough pressure on the screws to get them in. I screwed the screws into the wood without the bracket to loosen it up and they went in with ease. The problem I realized, at least in my case, is with the metal bracket for the hinge that the screws go through. It was way too tight. These screws were the only ones of the numerous screws that were not loose in the bag. They were already partially screwed into the hinge and they did not come loose. I tried to screw them through the bracket on it's own to loosen it up but it was so tight I couldn't put enough pressure on it and I felt like I was going to twist the hinge apart. I used the screwdriver on the bracket itself to try and open them up a bit. This was only marginally effective and I backed off as I was worried that they wouldn't sit flush with the stand after that as they were bending a bit. It seems like it took me almost as long to put in the 8 mounting screws for the doors as it did to assemble the rest of the piece. Sadly, the day after I purchased this item the price dropped $10. Having said that I find the value for this item to be very good at the price I paid. I forgot to add my Amazon kudos. I ordered this item on 8/6.Read more ›
