I enjoyed Kathleen Kelly's first book in this series Savage Stalker and couldn't wait for the second book Savage Fire to be released. The day finally came and she did not disappoint. I loved it! This series has a diverse range of characters, who are captivating!! We have Bikers, Rockers, Gangsters, Police Officers. It's a reader's Book Boyfriend Dream!
I really love the way Kathleen Kelly gives us point of views from most of the characters, it allowed me to understand what was going on with the other characters and how they all play a special part in this book and series. I can sense story lines developing for future books, which makes me super HAPPY to have more from this series. Savage Fire pages are filled with suspense drama romance action laughter, It has it all! The book even mentions New Jersey, and being a Jersey Girl that is always a plus! Can't wait for more great books by Kathleen Kelly

What happens when the President of the largest MC in the country comes up against one of the most powerful crime families in the country? Read Kathleen Kelly’s second book in the Savage Angels MC and find out! This is the unlikely love story of Emily Reynolds and Salvatore Agostino and not one you will want to miss!

Salvatore Agostino is Captain for the Abruzzi crime family and he has never been accused of being a nice man. His rise was fast and resented by some of the older members. Sal had fought his way to the top and even though he was considered young for his position, he was loyal to his family. So when he was told to do something by the head of the family, he did not hesitate. On the way to take care of business, he rescues an innocent young woman, not once but twice. This woman touches Sal’s heart in a way that no one ever has before. She needs a keeper, someone to protect her. He maybe a member of a crime family, but he does not harm women!

Emily has lived her entire life in an abusive home where her father abused and beat her mother. Her only protection had been her brother Dane and when their father kicked him out she was left alone. Now years later, Emily decides it is time to find Dane and let him know how she feels. Taking off from the hospital, where she had nursed their father until the end, she doesn’t think about what she is doing. On the way she is accosted at a rest room and is rescued by another man. Then she runs off the road and hits a tree! Once again the same man that saved her saves her again. Is this a coincidence? The feelings that her rescuer evokes are like none she has ever experienced before.

When Emily and Sal find out more about each other, is there a chance for them?

One thing I’ve learned from the Savage Angels Motorcycle Club is that you DO NOT f*** with them, and you ABSOLUTELY do not mess with any one of their family members because they will make you pay with mayhem and bloodshed. Readers were privy to that understanding in Savage Stalker and that idea continues to hold true in Savage Fire. This time around, though, the scope of danger has expanded and all the players involved have something to lose – whether it be territory, honor, or their lives.

“Men like him will break you or fill the void within.”

No truer words have been spoken about a man like Salvatore Agostino. In some ways, he’s untouchable because he’s been around dangerous men all of his life, and he knows how to play the game and watch his back. But Emily Reynolds, estranged sister to Savage Angels President, Dane Reynolds, doesn’t know that side of Salvatore. She sees him as her savior – the man responsible for helping her when she felt hopeless, and even though she’s a bit naïve when it comes to the opposite sex and she doesn’t really know who Sal is, she’s drawn to him just as much as he is to her.

But there’s bigger things at play than Emily and Sal’s burgeoning relationship, which puts their feelings for each other on the back burner and thrusts them and the Savage Angels in a deadly game against dangerous men who will do anything to get what they want.

Savage Fire is a great follow up to Savage Stalker, and readers will definitely see the growth in Kathleen Kelly’s writing. The storyline flows fairly smoothly throughout even with the varying perspectives.

3.5 Stars

This is the second installment of Savage Angels MC from Kathleen Kelly. It can be read as a standalone, but in the first you meet the entire cast of characters.

Dane Reynolds in the president of Savage Angels MC. After he was raised in an abusive home and was kicked out at the age of 15, he found family and loyalty in the MC. As president, he is a force to be reckoned with. In the first book, Savage Stalker, he found love in Kat Saunders, which softened him just a touch. She may be the only one who challenges him and he follows.

In Savage Fire, Dane's sister Emily comes to find him. Their views of their shared history are very different, mainly because Emily was lied to by her parents. After Emily watches her awful father die she seeks Dane, her only living relative, to give him all her anger. Things don't really go as planned because on the way in her grief and sleepless haze, she has a car wreck and is saved by a handsome, but dangerous looking stranger.

Salvatore Agostino is a high ranking member in an east coast 'Family' running guns amongst other criminal activity. He is sent to investigate infringement on their business and undercutting of gun sales by the Savage Angels. When he runs into Emily, his priorities change a bit. As with so many powerful, alpha males, he seeks to protect her, but she's not exactly a fragile flower!

This book is MC meets Italian Mafia. Both ruthless and loyal to their own, that is unless their own turns on them. And when they team up together, well it can be explosive.

To be honest, I could have used a bit more conflict resolution between Emily and Dane after their life long estrangement, but I'm hoping this will follow in the next books.
