Seriously this is the worst book I have read. Forget about the nirvana and kurt cobain story that is blended into this story it is terrible. I am a massive nirvana fan but this is cheesy, cringe worthy how the author try's to blends Kurt cobain in to the story of finding this girls mum is laughable. Please don't buy this unless you want a cheesy cringe worthy book. There are miles better books on nirvana out there. Wish I could give it a minus score.

I really enjoyed this novel. The character of Nico is driven by the mystery of what happened to her mother, who left when she was just a child and was never seen again. She becomes a typical out-of-sorts teenager, searching for what makes her feel like she belongs and music becomes a touchstone. Then a series of coincidences convinces her that Kurt Cobain is alive and somehow her mother knew him, maybe intimately. She sets out to track him down and experiences some truly terrifying moments as a young woman alone. In the end, although she looks for someone else to save her and solve the mystery of her mother's disappearance, Nico herself finds the truth and steps out of her cozy existence to do so.

I think lots of young adults would find this an engaging story and maybe recognize themselves or friends in these characters. Although Nico is the only character that is fully fleshed out but that makes sense for a teenager who is focused on a singular idea as the driving force behind her life.

Every adult reader will be fascinated and enlightened by the boldness and thoughts of this 15 year old. There is so much insight written into the narrative. Pick it up parents. Don't let the YA designation keep you from reading this book.
