FYI: Love scenes in the jungle and while hero was driving were scorching hot!!!! Loved it!
Brecken, a former soldier who opened his own security company, is hired by Hadley’s father to rescue her. She’s been kidnapped by some seriously bad people and is being held somewhere in the middle of the Nicaraguan jungle.
All it takes is one look at her picture in the file and everything changes for Brecken. Extraction is only the first part of his plan to get Hadley to safety… he wants to keep her for good. You’d think he was getting a little bit ahead of himself wouldn’t you? Of course not, because this is an OTT-crazy-insta-forever kind of story.
Hadley was a really great h. Kickass in an understated kind of way, she didn’t have any TSTL moments at all and we’re talking a 22-year-old innocent girl who’s been held captive for 2 weeks and then has to trek for days through the jungle. I want to fist-bump her, that’s how cool she was. It also took only one look at Brecken to feel a connection and attraction she had never felt for anyone else. Brecken was just a perfect OTT-ness example, being hot, bossy and possessive.
Needless to say, I freaking loved this story. I’m intrigued by Brecken’s last phone conversation and wonder if the voice on the other side will be the next MC in the series.
