About the Author

During the day, Nancee works as a nurse in the field of addiction to support her coffee and reading habit. Nights are spent writing paranormal and contemporary romances with a serrated edge. Authors are her rock stars, and she's been known to stalk a few for an autograph, but not in a scary, Stephen King way. Her husband swears her To-Be-Read list on her e-reader qualifies her as a certifiable book hoarder. Always looking to try something new, she dreams of being an extra in a Bollywood film, or a tattoo artist. (Her lack of rhythm and artistic ability may put a damper on both of these dreams.)

Wow! Nancee Cain has made an outstanding debut with Saving Evangeline ! This book has everything that readers look for in a book. This book celebrates the human spirit. It celebrates the gift of life, the gift of choice, and the beauty of love in all forms. It is also loaded with humor and witty dialogue. I laughed my butt off and cried my heart out. I swooned with the passion and felt warm & fuzzy with each hug. This book touched me in so many ways. When a book does that I give it 6 Stars without question.
Remi ( Remiel ) is a bored guardian angel. Due to his antics and moments of defiance in heaven, he has been assigned to working the admittance lines at the Pearly Gates. There is nothing worse than working with the stodgy, stuffy, old St. Peter. He wants a new job. As the old saying goes… be careful what you wish for. The boss (God) has a new assignment for him. He has a new soul to save. This time he is forewarned that he has to toe the line and follow the rules. The boss is going to make sure that Remi stays on the right path and doesn’t screw up. One way to make sure that happens is to send him to earth as a priest. How can he get in trouble wearing the cloth and representing the church? The problem is that the boss underestimated the resourcefulness of his talented employee. He needs to send a text with specific instructions….

In this story we meet Remial(Remi)--an angel with a rebellious and large carnal streak who is sent to save Evangeline (Evie), a woman bent on suicide. The attraction and combustion of personalities is immediate---the catch? He shows up as a priest.

One of the things I love about this author's writing is the emotion--and the grit. Evie is struggling with the darkness of past choices and depression; Remi chafes under the constrictions of "perfection" in heaven. The ending is unexpected; but works for them, and it did make me tear up just a bit.

Another thing I enjoy is her dialogue--it's quick, flowing smoothly. As a side note--my favorite term of endearment Remi gives to Evie is Crazy Girl. When you read it--you'll see why I like it!

The Author also has no fear, and addresses subject matter (like Suicide for this book) with fearlessness and compassion. I do indeed look forward to future books from her!

Note: This is a Paranormal Romance; with a fictional portrayal of God, Angels, and the Catholic religion. This may bother some readers.

Absolutely loved it! This is a fresh story full of hope. It covers the struggles of a person facing depression and suicide yet makes you laugh along the way. I loved the interaction between the main characters. I don't want to give away any part of the story, but this is definitely one I'd read again. The characters were thrown into an impossible situation and I kept wondering how in the world this was going to have a happy ending. Either they were going to fall in love and both go to hell OR they would be star crossed lovers doomed to never connect. In the end, the story truly had a happy ending and I was surprised. The humor is outstanding, the sexual tension is realistic, and the emotional struggles of a suicidal person are believable.

The awareness in the end that the author brings to depression and providing a hotline number were commendable. Until you've walked a mile in someones shoes, you can't understand. This story not only helped me walk a mile but took me on a fabulous trip.

This book was amazing! I need to be honest and say I love angels so I am pretty picky about paranormal romance involving angels. I read this book in one sitting and I highly recommend doing so because the pace of the book is so fast.
Remi, a angel who is being is being sent to save Evangeline, the last time Remi was on Earth he had a little mishap at Woodstock. Evie is hell bent on not being saved. Remi's upfront and in your face tactic made him a truly endearing character. Sometimes, someone needs to here the blunt truth about their situation to help them overcome it.
The characters and plot are well developed and quite complex. The imagery this author uses has this book reading more like a movie in my mind than a novel. I loved Remi and he has stuck with me for days. I have thought back to this book multiple times.
I can't wait to see what this author does next.

Saving Evangeline is an excellent story.
I loved it.
The characters are so well written. I love 'em all including the dog Goner. I laughed and I cried ,I was saddened then I was happy again.
Remiel is an Angel, who always seems to find himself in trouble. With his discussion with God ,gives learning lessons ,but Remiel considers them punishment.
His new Lesson ? : Saving Evangeline.
Evangeline is a young woman who is attuned to the spiritual unseen,After the death of her lover ,which she blames herself , she has a tendency to have one night stands and never feeling anything about the partner,The town considers here a crazy home wrecking whore. Her mother moves away and Evie's life is in a downward spiral. With the series of therapists and drugs to help with her condition the pain becomes too much for her to handle.
That is where Remi comes in .Just as she's about to end it all here comes a Priest, who is the least priestly person Evie has ever met.
Remi to me is a mix of Dean Winchester and Castiel.
Evie is a good person who has made some not so good choices and feels alone and abandoned.
Remi tries to show her that she is good and worthy of love. She needs to let go of the past : Grab Life By The Balls and Live...
I recommend this story to everyone and I give it 5 Black Feather Stars. Well done Nancee Cain.Congratulations!!!!!
I received an ARC of this story for and honest review. It is amazing.
