However, there were a lot of specifics that I really didn't like:
Is Rothby an earl or a viscount? He was an earl in the last book but was referred to as a viscount on several occasions in this one.
Chatham's quick change of heart because a woman shames him was unbelievable - I kept expecting him to commit some final act of villainy while proclaiming that he'd fooled them all.
Even if Grace had massive trust issues, her unwillingness to agree to marry Alex was an absurd and annoying plot device.
I found the frequent re-telling of conversations from the other character's point of view to be tiresome and redundant. It rarely offered additional insight and instead bogged down the story.
Lastly, shoddy editing left stray words, partial sentences, and missing prepositions strewn throughout the book. Many words were improperly used, (like someone used a thesaurus to broaden the vocabulary, but misunderstood the exact meaning and usage of the word chosen). With the grammar checking programs now available, there's no excuse for improper grammar usage.
In short, it's a decent story, but I paid too much for it. I won't bother with the next one in the series.
