Don't despair, there is a happy ending and I look forward to reading more of Dan Walsh's Forever Home series as they are released.
Word of warning, this is nothing like "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Even though Parker gets his chance to tell his story, he is no Enzo and Ned is no Danny. It is a quick read, but kept my interest.
I think his "Forever Home" series have become my favorite, only by a very slim margin, & that's because my husband & I are presently loving on our 5th rescued dog.
Saving Parker is an interesting story that pulls you in from the start. Dealing with subjects such as animal cruelty, bullying, & the realities of living in a world where crimes happen even in places we least expect it, was his story will have you cheering for the good guy in more ways than one.
Highly recommended! Great job, Dan & Cindi!
All the characters were dimensional, the story was suspenseful and it was fun to hear the pup's point of view too. All the sub-plots were well developed and researched. It's a fun way to learn through observing the characters' actions and reactions.
Highly recommend from teen through adult.
