WOW!! This is only my 2nd M/M book & I'm blown away!! It's more than I ever expected & I had very high expectations because author AD Ellis is so brilliant! She truly out-done herself on Sawyer!

This book is emotional, heartbreaking at times, hilarious when the cousins get together, heart-warming with the support of the family & friends, infuriating when stupidity runs rapid & loving! I knew I would love Sawyer just from meeting him in Decker's book! This made me love him even more!!

Don't let me get started on Luke!! Gahhhhh!! The stuff this man endured is like nothing I've ever read!! My heart bled for him!!

This book was perfect! I would highly recommend it! Love all things AD Ellis!

I have read the author's previous books and enjoyed them. I love this town and the families in this town. I wasn't sure what to expect when she said that Sawyer was gay. I loved the way she wrote this book with the parts that go back in history. The first few chapters need Kleenex handy. Luke and Hayden were also awesome characters. Both had rough histories also. The way the family handled his coming out is typical of a family going through it. A.D. did a fabulous job with this book and what Sawyer and Luke go through. Another awesome book.

First of all I want to say M/M isn't something I have read before but from reading Decker's book I'm invested in these characters and I couldn't pass up on Sawyer's story.

So stating the obvious this is an M/M. Its hard to talk about a book, giving readers an insight into the book without giving it all away! But I'll try my best. So Sawyer lives in a small town, Torey Hope, where he knows it won't be easy to come out but he's not worried about that, it's his family he's worried about, family means everything to him and is a strong theme in these books. He's afraid of how it will be received, how their love for him will stand once they know and how who he is will affect everything they have all worked hard for. Sawyer also has to deal with how much he is willing to fight for love. This story is all about love and acceptance and the journey of getting there.

"Boy, you don't have a damn thing to apologize for. Open your eyes and look at me, don't you hang your head in shame."

Luke Hamilton has some demons and this plays a big enough part in this story. Both men have obstacles to get over together and separately to get that happy ending but with support from his family, his twin brother and cousins especially, he is determined. It's not always easy though, its not easy at all actually but both men need to decide if that love is worth it all.

"Let love in, let love win."

I was so excited to get Sawyers story. He's just that kind of character that deserves love and you want to see him falling in love. This was emotional for me, it hurt me to the core, I wanted to cry for these men and wanted to scream at the close minded, cruel, malicious bullies who think they have the right to dictate who a person can love.

I have read all the Torey Hope books because I absolutely love the way A.d Ellis writes from the heart. She makes all her characters real and when I read about their lives and the town where they live, I feel a part of that.

I don't normally read MM but I have to say this book was so much more than just gratuitous MM sex. This delved into the difficulties two gay men faced in a small town. Both Sawyer and Luke had their own story and their own reasons for not following their heart and it made quite difficult reading at times. I really felt I could empathise with their struggles despite me not being gay. I think the way it was written was actually quite beautiful and when there are struggles in people's lives, when they feel they are unable to admit their true self and feelings, it is desperately sad.

They both built up walls to hide who they really were and it is thought-provoking and it did make me wonder how many people live unhappy lives, living what must feel like a fake life, feeling in constant turmoil while trying to deal with other people's opinions towards them.

Well A.d my dear, I read this book not knowing what or how I would feel and I can honestly say, once again, you made me sad, you made me happy but most of all, you made me feel... which is why I love to read, to feel something.

I think you might very well be The Queen of Tugging Heart-Strings x x x

I am in total awe of A.D. Ellis's telling of Sawyer's story! I am so thankful for Brett's Sharing of his life with all of us through A.D. I laughed and cried through this book. The writing of this story I believe to be an actual miracle. I have never been able to look this closely into the life of a gay person. I have never believed being gay is a choice. All of the characters are so very different in their beliefs, but they are all able to love. My wish is that this can be shared with the world. I have never read a M/M Romance before, and I don't know that I will search another one out. But I do know I love every character in Torey Hope! I can't wait to delve into Kendrick's life! MAY LOVE ALWAYS WIN!
