This book is emotional, heartbreaking at times, hilarious when the cousins get together, heart-warming with the support of the family & friends, infuriating when stupidity runs rapid & loving! I knew I would love Sawyer just from meeting him in Decker's book! This made me love him even more!!
Don't let me get started on Luke!! Gahhhhh!! The stuff this man endured is like nothing I've ever read!! My heart bled for him!!
This book was perfect! I would highly recommend it! Love all things AD Ellis!
I love how she took a story of a boy who struggled with who he was and took him through a path of discovery, acceptance, and finally love and happiness. It was not an easy path for him. The story was realistic in that not all fully accepted him, but worked through their issues and came out stronger.
And Luke, what can you say about Luke. He broke my heart. His story was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Watching him accept himself, his past and Sawyer brought the story full circle.
Like all the other Torey Hope novels, this one is so worth the read and I recommend it. I know it may not be for everyone, but in the end, its a story about family, love and acceptance.
