The art is cute, too! When reading aloud, I do slightly alter the dialogue in the park scene with her friends because it feels a bit forced/dated. But no one notices and the story keeps flowing.

The idea is nice, but the characters are illustrated in a very stereotyped way which was a bit disappointing.
There is a page at the back to help with pronunciation which is handy.
Not sure that I would necessarily recommend this book to my friends.
