Erica is the author of the best seller that the tv show is based on, she wrote one book and self pubbed it and she is 23. She is having writers block and she just was very blah. She stated things and thoughts but I didn't really feel it. As to Shane he is a former fighter who has no real job or celebrity and one day he picked his sister up at an audition and the producer met him and felt he was perfect for the job. He has no acting experience at all. He has no ambitions or education because to provide for his family he had to become a fighter until the acting gig popped up. So he is very unconfident which is not very attractive in a book hero. He and Erica just didn't have the personality to carry the book especially as its a repeat of the previous book.
I preorder the book so i had no idea and I got robbed. Another reviewer said only half the book is a repetition but I just can't take how slow and repetitive the book is and the characters are much more boring in this book then they were in book 1. While this book just did not captivate me book 1 was wonderful. Gwen and Garrick really are a great couple and I loved their book so much. I am done with this series though.
