This is the most inept book I have subjected myself to in some time. The Stone character speaks in an English style despite being an American character. Is Stuart Woods so captivated by Downton Abby that he can't resist having his characters speak like them. Enough is enough!

Stone beds woman after woman ... the female characters apparently are so indiscriminate and impulsive that they jump into bed with him without prelude at every opportunity despite being successful, wealthy and in responsible positions in their own right. The notion that they are unable to resist his "charm" and money to that degree should be profoundly offensive to any woman I know.

Stone buys houses and multiple hundred thousand $ cars in a day seemingly on impulse. It is difficult to comprehend that Woods would expect that any reader would believe that a wealthy astute smart person would behave in such an irresponsible matter. Was Woods imagining through Stone what he would do with a billion dollar lottery winning? Perhaps I should wright such an infantile fantasy and make his money. This Stone book is silly beyond comprehension. I'm embarrassed to have this in my library ... but it will not be there for long!

I have read every Stone Barrington book. I get them from my library, so luckily have never bought one. I used to really enjoy them. The last few have been a little hard to digest, but this one is the absolute worst.
In fact, it is the first one I didn't finish. Made it about half way through and said "Enough. No more." Save your time (and money) if you are foolish to buy this book.

Scandalous Behavior should have been combined with the previous book, Foreign Affairs, as it is just a continuation of that novel. I am struck by how out of touch with real life Stone appears to be, as he can just buy houses, cars, and whole new wardrobes, seemingly on a whim. This reads more like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous than a novel about a lawyer who specializes in doing his firm's dirty work. I wish that Stuart Woods would either allow Stone to return to the legal profession or to retire him permanently.

Typical Woods book. Some of the ostentationess is a bit much. Maybe the jet set lives like that, but in today's economy especially in Europe, the buying is a bit of a stretch. A very simple story, predictable and fast reading. If you have a few hours to spend, this book is a way to escape the realism of life.

I also am a huge Stuart Woods fan. I've read every Stone, Holly, Eagle and Barron book, as well as a few of the standalones. Stone Barrington is my favorite. This novel is actually better than the last few, in terms of a good plot. Nonetheless, I am hooked and always pre-order the books so I read them the first day. I am so glad for the return of Billy Barnett (aka Teddy Fay), who was missing for the last few books. I wish Mr. Woods would develop a series around Billy, as he is one interesting character- a perfect mix of good and evil. If you're a Stone fan, you can't miss this Scandalous Behavior.

This was probably the worst of the Stone Barrington books in the series yet. I don't even know where to begin. The writing, plot and characters were juvenile. I have been so disappointed with the last several books but this turned me off for sure. Of the many ridiculous scenarios going on in this book, there is a murder scene that is summed up in one sentence at the end of the book. It never explains how the crime was discovered and what led them to identify the killer. I'm done with Stone!

The only really scandalous behavior in this novel is the behavior of all the participants, especially the hero, Scott
Barrington who, along with all his friends, "brags" about wealth, station, ancestors, etc., ad infinitum. I, personally, found this so disgusting that I couldn't finish the novel, and deleted it from my Kindle.

I so look forward to every Stuart Woods book and this one is no exception. From the very beginning you know Stone is going to purchase the perfect English home. And of course Peter would fall into a plan that is good for him. Stone Barrington novels are predictable but still so much fun to read. They are one of the few books I pre order and pay full price for. Usually, I wait until prices drop but not with Stone Barrington. This book kept my attention from cover to cover.
