Andrew Wood is a photographer specializing in interiors and fashion. He undertakes regular commissions for Elle Decoration and other prestigious magazines such as Vogue and The Sunday Telegraph Magazine. His previous books include Smart Storage, One Space Living, Living with Modern Classics: The Chair, and Modern Natural.

Magnus Englund, who wrote the text, is a co-founder and director of Skandium, a chain of stores specializing in modern Scandinavian furniture and homeware. His company also set up Britain's first-ever Marimekko shop. Born in Sweden, Magnus used to live in Stockholm, where he owned a men's fashion store while collecting 1960s pop & soul records. His current passion is Finnish glass. Scandinavian Living is his first book.

Finnish by nationality, she grew up in Germany and Finland and has lived most of her adult life in Sweden. Chrystina worked as a fashion photographer in Stockholm for ten years before moving to London, where she contributed to Arena and other magazines. She is a strong believer in creating spaces for living in, not looking at. Her current passion is Swedish textiles.

Format: Hardcover
The photos had a detailed description of the pieces in the room and the designers. Good for training your eye in Scandinavian Modern design. Loved the open feel of many of the rooms & appreciation of natural surfaces. Very much what I remembered about travling through Finland. Like the Shakers & Japanese, the outside influences the Scandinavian style. Highly recommend this book.

Purchased this book as a Christmas gift for a mid-century modern furniture dealer. He was thrilled with the contents and thought it would be great resource for his research library.
