“The Scapegoat” is a set of 11 original and arranged songs, mostly blues. The five arranged works include Blind Willie Johnson’s “What Is the Soul of a Man?”, the Memphis Jug Band’s “On the Road Again,” Robert Johnson’s “Ramblin’ (On My Mind),” John Lee Hooker’s “I’m Going Upstairs,” and the Mississippi Sheiks' "I'm the Lonely One in This Town."
The other six tracks are new arrangements of original works.
