But when her sister lets it slip that Ciara’s memory is returning, the killer comes after her again. If Ciara is to stay alive, she must keep one step ahead of the Cutter.

MC Domovitch is guilty. She is guilty of keeping her fans reading all night. The author of ten books, MC writes cozy mysteries as Carol Ann Martin, numerous murder mysteries as Monique Domovitch and suspence and thrillers as MC Domovitch. The one thing all of her novels have in common is that they are all page turners.

Asked if there is any truth to the rumour that she is the love-child of Sidney Sheldon and Jackie Collins, she insists she was born in Ontario Canada from school teachers who taught her the pleasure of reading at a young age.

Domovitch lives with her physician husband and their two yorkies, and devide their time between homes in the Florida Keys and Ontario Canada.

3.5.. Good story but book had its issues.

The Good: The story was intriguing and suspenseful. You felt for the main character and rooted for her through out the book.

The not so good: I am not a person that usually points out grammar errors or misspelled words or even when words are misplaced. But certain things through out this book made it to where I had to stop reading and go back and re-read a paragraph more than once. Most of what I found wrong a good editor should have picked up on. First page was a confusing mix of third person and first person. The book is obviously written in third person so that messed with the flow of reading. And speaking of flow – the book was very choppy switching between multiple characters without a good clear indication that is what was happening. I got what the author was going for and when its done correctly I love bouncing between the good guys and the bad guys. Another issue that is more of a pet peeve is I dont know if the author meant for it to be this way but its pretty obvious who the killer/kidnapper is from the start that's always a negative thing for me.

I'm torn on what to rate this. Rating on story and characters its a solid 4 but with its flow and choppy issues it should be a 3.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I'd previously read one of the author's books and REALLY enjoyed it. This book is good, but not as good. I don't like the voice of the main character, and a lot of the characters are majorly unlikeable.

This book is much more eerie, creepy, and also a bit sad. Ciara is flawed, but the mystery that unfolds was also flawed because of so many characters. Despite this, I nailed the culprit pretty quickly. The story is left open to continue (and is marked as Series Book 1), with an element of fantasy/supernatural that I would have liked to have seen a bit more of in this book. For that reason, I would continue the series.

This book covers a lot of genres - coming-0f-age, recovery, mystery/suspense, fantasy/supernatural, so a little something for everyone. The fantasy is not over the top.

Lots of action and psychological suspense. Shows a strong female in the main role that is smart and thinks. Quite likeable and you really want to help her along. Plenty of twists and turns to make you change your mind over and over as to who the bad guy is. A rare 5 star from me. Highly recommend.

Scat tissue was an amazing read, as I was browsing the the kindle books on Amazon. I can across this great book. I was drawn in just by the short summary of a model being followed around. When I started reading this yesterday I couldn't stop. Everything Kelly was going though was enough for me to keep on reading. Time passed and before I knew it it was 11pm. I managed to finish the book today since I even dreamed about it. Full of suspects and clues. You might think the killer is one person. Then on the next page you think its another. I loved it and I absolutely loved Kelly and David's character. I'm glad theirs another book coming out in November which I already paid for. Looking forward to the next book. Thank!

OMG this was an absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. I loved Ciara she was my favourite character. I was on the edge of my seat and what a twist. i was even reading this atfter 1am just couldn't put it down. This is a must read and I would highly recommend this book. 5*. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a new author for me. One who will become a favourite,l have no doubt. I look forward to the next book in the series. Well done, M.C.Domovitch.
