I had thyroid surgeries last March and my surgeon recommended this product to me. It really does do a great job reducing the appearance of a scar. No question about it!
There is a problem though. I went on a 3-week road trip in Canada for work almost immediately after surgery. I specifically brought mock turtlenecks with me in effort to conceal the scar that had not yet healed.
When I return from the trip and laundered the shirts, there was a stain on the material exactly the spot where I used the product.
I called and spoke with someone at the company, which was based in Atlanta at the time, and they suggested I use baking soda to remove the stain. Baking soda didn’t work at all nor did any other commercially available stain remover.
There was nothing in the documentation of the product that I bought that said anything about staining clothing. Their website clearly states “ScarAway won’t stick to or stain clothing.” [...] See paragraph 2.
Sometime during the summer 2015 the company was sold. In November 2015, I wrote a letter to the company president explaining that there was nothing in the documentation or on the website that warned the customer that the product stained clothing. I included with this letter 23 mock turtlenecks – all unwearable because of the staining caused by their product.

I explained the situation in great depth and wrote in part: “Enclosed in this box are the 23 casual shirts that are now un-wearable due to the staining from the ScarAway product. I’ve included the baking soda as well.”
I received a refund for their product I bought, but was refused compensation for my garments that their product ruined.
I think they just don’t give a damn!
