WOW!! Holy smokes, Janice has lost her mind. She is determined that Talon is hers and only hers. She won't stop until that happens.. And then things go wrong. Oh so wrong. You get to see the laps in time and you know that something isn't right with Janice. Her family is trying to help, but can't seem to get her top believe that she needs help. She is able to wonder around and end up places without knowing.
Elena has a way to make you feel the characters emotions and keep the reader engaged. You feel everything that Janice is living through and even how she feels about others in her world. You have to feel sorry for Jaime because of their whole relationship is messed up. He wants her, but she doesn't. Janice will keep him at bay and then pull him in. But Jaime just wants to help. That is the only thing that he has ever wanted. And now I NEED to know what happens next. I want to know more about Maya and Talan. I can't wait to read what Elena comes out with next. Lindsey, Reviewer for MNP.
I have battered on about Janice in my previous reviews and the fact that the woman is completely deranged but in this we get not necessarily to understand her reasoning but at least to have an insight into why she is the way she is and it is a messed up story.,
She really is not a well woman.
While I tried to sympathise slightly with her I found that she frustrated me- she was completely cuckoo – her reasoning was so clouded that she was irrational and that made her even worse.
She had stepped right onto the merry go round of madness and couldn’t see any way off – it was sad really.
She loved Talan in her own way but it was never going to be what he had with Maya and that realisation had tipped her to the wrong side of normal – she was off the scale nuts.
As always the writing was exemplary and the characterisation was divine. WE get yet more characters that I am sure will be pivotal in the next books and we get to understand a little more the mind of madness and to wonder at what else could possibly lie in store for the world at the hand of Janice
5 broken stars! Tragic, beautiful and amazing
Wow, we finally delve into the inner workings of Janice. And what a ride it is…...she’s a serious piece of work, but I loved getting into her mind!! I’m in love with this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next!! I’m pretty sure I’m obsessed with this serious, if I can be completely honest!!!

Janice, oh dear, we get the full unedited glimpse into who she is. She is on demented and sick person. Well, I mean we see how crazy she is in book 1 and 2 but when you actually see it first hand you want to run to her with a straight jacket and walk her into a padded room.
This girl is destruction to the millionth power. Her instability has her leaving a trail of chaos. She does't want help, doesn't need it all she sees is one thing.. TALAN!!
This girl leaves us wondering what in the hell is going to happen next.
Elena took crazy to a whole new level. Here's to the craziest chick in a book to date.
Scars is part 2.5 of this series and this story gives us a look into the mind of Janice. In the previous 2 books we got to know a bit about her. She's the mean, nasty and probably psychotic person who's obsessed with Talan and has it out for Maya.
But in this story we get more insight into Janice's mind and quite frankly, it's kind of an intense, overwhelming, and kind of scary place. But I'm so very happy we had a chance to see inside. Janice's past is a sad one, but it helps to give a better understanding of how she got to be how she is. She's still vicious and hateful towards Maya, and has delusions that she and Talan are in love, but reading this story changes how I see Janice.
There was a moment or two when things got some what jumbled with the timeline, and I didn't quite feel like it flowed smoothly. However with what we learned about Janice, I almost wondered if maybe that was intentional. I just know I felt taken aback like I might have missed something and sometimes had to pause and re-read to make sure I hadn't.
In the end though I not only enjoyed this short Janice story but I am now looking forward to book 3 even more and can't wait to see what happens next.
