A Complete Star Trek Adventure
From the game pieces to the trivia cards, every aspect of Star Trek Scene It? has been infused with the spirit of Star Trek. The game begins with players choosing one of four collectible tokens to represent their team. Sculpted out of metal, these tokens have been modeled after the most famous ships in the series: the Enterprise, the Enterprise D, the Defiant, and the Voyager. The game board is collapsible and features two sizes, giving you the option of playing a 15-minute quick game or a 40-minute extended game.

Teams advance around the board by answering two types of questions: traditional trivia cards and DVD-based puzzles. The trivia cards, which resemble what you might find in Trivial Pursuit, come in three different categories: green "compendium" questions, red "events" questions, and yellow "culture" questions. They vary in difficulty, and some of the tougher questions are challenging enough to stump even the most seasoned Trekkies.

The main attraction, however, is the interactive DVD. Filled with video clips, sound bites and images from the franchise, the DVD challenges players to answer brain-teasing Trek puzzles. With a dozen different puzzle categories, the DVD puts your knowledge of Star Trek to the test. Categories include "Spatial Anomaly," where players must identify a character based on a distorted image, and "Coded Transmission," which challenges players to decrypt a secret message.

Something for Everyone -- From Cadets to Fleet Captains
The DVD has been designed with the fans in mind. You'll see cameos by your favorite characters, watch video clips from classic episodes, and be treated to narration by the Enterprise computer. You'll even do battle with a Romulan Warbird in the tiebreaker mode. All in all, it's a consummate Star Trek experience.

With hundreds of questions, Star Trek Scene It? has something for every type of Star Trek fan. It features questions from all six television shows and every motion picture (excluding the most recent 2009 film). The difficulty is also varied enough to keep everyone engaged -- from Star Trek savants to casual fans. Some of the DVD challenges are so riveting that even non-fans will enjoy themselves.

I got the Star Trek Scene It? Deluxe game a few days ago, and I have to say it pretty much meets my lofty expectations.

The game itself pretty much plays out like any other Scene-It game out there. You can play a long or short game with 2 or more players (4 players/teams max), and go through the board answering either trivia card questions or video questions from the DVD (determined by the roll of the dice). The trivia questions for the most part range from simple to fairly obscure, and the DVD-based questions are accessible enough for those with a "normal" interest level in Trek. The hardcore will certainly feel vindicated for being able "to complete the line" of a video sequence before the multiple choice options even appear. If you aren't a fan or are unfamiliar with the franchise at all this game would be very difficult. There is also a "Party Play" feature on the DVD itself, which just selects Random video questions one after another without the use of the board at all. It's a nice mode to play in if you don't want to sit for a whole game.

This edition comes with the metal game tokens as advertised which was a big plus for me. There's a $10 cheaper version out there with plastic pieces, but I demand the best!

I enjoy Scene It games in general, and find this Star Trek edition to be more than worthy of carrying both the name of Star Trek and Scene It.

This was purchased for my husband for his birthday. He is a huge Star Trek fan. We played this with our adult children and he wiped the floor with us! He still found the questions to be quite challenging and was impressed with the caliber of questions. It was a good choice for him.

Ok, first off, I've been waiting for this game forever! It's a ton of fun, from the questions to the dvd play. Seems like there are lots of original series questions, but that might just be because I always get them wrong! Our 11 year old son absolutely loves the dvd questions more than the trivia cards. It's a load of fun for everyone from kids to adults. Not much else to say except it's an awesome game!

I love Star Trek, I'm slightly obsessed (okay more than slightly) anyway I have been looking for a fun Star Trek themed game to be able to play on game nights, and when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. Some of the questions are easier, some of them are definitely hard to get right, even for someone who watches the tv series on netflix all the time. I liked that there is a mix of all the different series, and I liked that the game can be made shorter if you don't have a lot of time. This was a great game for us at our house and we love playing it.

The board, counters and trivia questions (on the 200+ cards) are great. The trivia questions on the cards cover everything from the original TV series through the movie "Nemesis", and the questions are written clearly so that, 95% of the time, you'll have no trouble understanding what sort of information is needed to answer them (an example of an exception might be: Why does Capt Picard beam over to the Son'a ship? Answer: ... er, because there wasn't a shuttle available? (hint: No, that's not the answer.) ). The DVD feels slow and a bit dated now, and for some reason the questions aren't nearly as good as those on the cards, often delving into complete minutiae. Overall, however, this is probably the best board game for Start Trek nuts. I just wish that someone would make a "You Don't Know Jack!" Star Trek edition.

I bought this game for my cousin who is a serious Trekkie fan. He loved it and the expression on his face was nearly priceless. Tin is heavier than I expected and the color is bright & clear, as pictured, no fading and no dents. Packaging was also good and the item arrived 2 days earlier than expected delivery date so I was very happy.

It's as good as the original Scene It, only of course, it is Star Trek themed. I'm just concerned that this gaming format is too clearly outdated. Why isn't there a mobile app or an online digital media player app to accompany Scene It games so new questions can be added regularly? Play this enough, and you will have spent all of the questions and it won't be a game anymore.

just finished playing it, and it was fun...for me. lol. If you are going to play this game with others, they have to know something about Star Trek. I played with my brother and his wife (casual fans of Trek) and I just left them in the dust. I guess it is better to play with others on your knowledge level. If we had the same level of knowing, it would have been more of a game. I wish there was an option for an easy, medium or hard question. It doesn't have that.

Let's just say this, the game is supposed to last around 45 minutes, but it was over in 20. I love it and I think it's great fun. It has some trivia you answer by the other reading a card and other questions are answered by watching video clips. Overall, I would recommend this game to those that want to play alone or with other Trek fans. If you are the only Trek fan playing, you may be the only one that has fun.

A question that was in the game, for example, was asking the name of the actress that played Spock's mom in the original series. How is someone that doesn't know Trek going to answer that? Fun and challenging, but almost impossible for casual and those that aren't really fans
