How I love these Farthingales women and Braydens men! Their first encounter always leads to disaster, a disaster moving to a charming romance.
And here Mrs Meara Platt does not disappoint, this book of love has its own power, bringing together fated mates.
Finn is a dream of a man, from the very beginning he shows his integrity, how honorable he is. And as the story progresses, his caring and protectiveness but also his will to see Belle be her own woman.
All along, he supports Belle but she is very unwilling to trust him, with patience and gentleness, he slowly proves her he is not one to run away whatever they might face.
Belle has a talent that is behind her family’s business success. But outside it, she does not see her worth, and she stubbornly even refuses to accept Finn’s suit because of the broken image she has of herself.
I can understand when repeatedly you are told you are fragile, you might believe it but fragile does not mean unlovable and damaged.
Why at time I was a bit upset at her rambling about her unworthiness.
She was lucky it was Finn, a Brayden, so honor bound to do the right thing and to persevere when she tried to push him away.
Now I am curious about Finn’s brothers and Belle’s sister.
There are villains, great character's and some surprises I didn't see coming. The h was likable, but I must admit after many many times thinking she isn't worthy of the H because of her ailment, it got old. I didn't like she was such a victim. No matter how many times, over and over the H told her she wasn't defined by her lungs, she fell into the same pattern.
There is some foreplay prior to marriage heat level 3 out of 5 if that, barely mentioned. Then lovemaking, within marriage, discussed once - heat level maybe 3 out of 5 again.
No cheating, no cliffhanger for our couple, but you will wonder who the other siblings will partner, HEA and a tad of spice. Good writing and I'd recommend this series, this story and author. (ljb).
I really enjoyed that it didnt take Finn long at all to realized how much he loved Belle and wanted to help her love herself. I didnt like how little Belle seemed to like herself and how long it took for her to admit she is loveable, but the book played out very well. It was a very good read. I love Platts books and how honest she makes the characters.
THE SCENT OF LOVE is captivating, and enthralling, you will not want to put this book down! Finn and Belle are such a wonderful couple! I love how Finn just can't help falling for the sweet, lovely, and kind-hearted Belle! Meara Platt has a special gift for creating characters that are memorable, and likeable!
Don't miss the latest addition to THE SCENT OF LOVE series...it is a warm and wonderful read that you don't want to miss!

Finn with his no-nonsense, straight talking and headspinning-deep devotion for Belle packs quite the punch as he determinedly charms and seduces Belle into not just loving him but most importantly herself. Overlooked Belle is so sure she is unmarriageable, a thought instilled into her by her well-meaning if clueless parents, that Finn has one tough shell to crack. A challenge that maybe proving harder by the minute but Finn's endearingly bumbling attempts are all the sweeter and more rewarding for his trying!!!
A sweet and charming romance where the first half fills you with swoon-worthy anticipation and tummy fluttering romance, while the second swings you straight into anxious uncertainty, imminent danger and ominous intrigue!!
This series just keeps getting better and better - a purely addictive, fun and heart warming tale!!!
