A fairy tale, a morality tale, and an outstanding read! I am so glad that I picked this one out of my too tall TBR pile! An excellent read for the overwhelmed, disenchanted, and those suffering from the weather. The publisher's blurb leaves nothing else for me to say about this one unless I stoop to spoilers, so grab a copy and make your day!

‘The cover is just horrible. Really horrible! Which is such a shame as this novel is funny, well-written and actually, one of the best in this year’s awards. But, sadly, the cover will kill it. Advice to author: have a professional cover designed then have the blurb re-written. At the moment it is basically a summary of the plot and, as such, tells the reader pretty much everything that is going to happen. The blurb should be a tease, a way of wetting the reader’s appetite, not the whole meal.’ Female reader (professional editor), aged 33
‘Excellent read. This author has a gold-tipped pen! I particularly liked the teapot. So much happens here; it is basically the perfect romantic read but, at the same time, there’s much more to it than a Mills and Boon. The characters are interesting, totally human and fun to follow. But the cover. Oh my God! Why oh why oh why!? Now that is from a Mills and Boon.’ Male reader, aged 34
‘Not bad at all. Bit of an info. dump at the beginning but then it skips along nicely. Plenty if wit and plenty going on to keep a reader turning the page. Solid ending. Advice: change the cover, change the blurb (less is more) and push it to ‘intelligent romantics’. Good writer.’ Male reader (editor and publisher), aged 43
‘The biggest problem this book has is the title. Although, in fact, it’s a pretty cool title, the problem is nobody can spell it. So, if anybody wants to read it and can’t spell it Schifflebein, it won’t pop up on Amazon. So nobody can find it.’ Male reader (publisher) aged 52
‘Funny and packed full of fascinating characters.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
