These needles are exactly what I needed to finish a lightweight jersey knit neckine on my ancient sewing machine. They fit perfectly in my machine, work great with my walking foot and are clearly the same excellent quality of all the other Schmetz needles I have used. Anymore, I will only spend my money for this brand. Its not worth the ruined fabric, the headache of pulling teeny broken needle tips from the guts of my machine, or dealing with the damage to my machine when a needle breaks. Schmetz needles last many times as long as every other brand I have tried (I am thinking of one well known brand that I won't name, but we all know it). So much frustration was lifted from my sewing experience when I finally got around to trying Schmetz and I will never go back. They are the best. Hands down.
As for these needles... This is my first foray into double needles and jersey knits, but my test fabric scraps have a lot of promise. These will work just fine for the neckline I will be working on soon, guaranteed. If they don't then its my fault for getting the wrong width. Thats the only thing I am concerned about - I think I should have gotten a wider set between the needles for this project, but I have no doubt that this will work just fine for many other projects coming up. My only other regret is not buying them sooner to just have in my collection because the hemline of that same shirt looks atrocious with the zigzag stitch I had to use, IMHO. Live and learn.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Don’t bother buying this. I purchased 2 just to be safe. Attached, manually lowered needles then back up a few times to test. That part went well! Until I began with the foot pedal.. first time the machine took the needles down.. SNAP! No settings had been changed between manual test to foot pedal go.. $ down the drain.

I originally ordered one of these in prep for first time double needle usage (new to sewing knits). I made it through about 10-15 shirts before it broke in the middle of hemming. I couldn't find a different brand in the same size, so I ended up buying more to finish my project. After putting in the second one, I learned that the needle only broke when it was close to the edge of the footer (sewing a straight stitch). I'm not sure if it's the needle or just the way the machine is hitting the footer that caused the breakage - but this is the only needle I've broken on my 1 year old machine (used semi-regularly). No further breakage after keeping the needle in the middle of the footer.

This needle was perfect for hemming a pair of four way-stretch slacks with flared bottoms. I used flexible thread, the finished hem looked exactly like the original. I look forward to future use of this double needle.

I used a competitor's product that broke each time I used one of the twin needles. I'm still using my first one after completing two pair of yoga pants.

Exactly what I needed. I liked that it came with 2 double sewing needles and it was cheaper than buying 2 at the store. It was delivered within two days in original packaging.

I got these for my mom and she says they’re must haves! Makes working on stretch clothes so much easier.

I shortened some T-shirts and used the stretch twin needle to hem them so they'd have a double row of stitches like the original hem.

Much better then the Singer Needles!
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on June 17, 2022
These needles are great quality and give a simple but professional finish to my sewing projects. The needles are much better quality then the Singer ones I was using prior! They stay sharp and you can tell the metal is quality.
