I started using this deodorant in July 2018 and LOVED it!!! I couldn't ask for more. The scent was great and lasted. I tend to get sweaty and stinky. While I was still sweaty, this took care of the stink. But then! I ordered more in August and now I get an itchy, painful rash in my pits. I stopped using it for a while and the rash went away. When I began using it again, the rash returned. What Happened?!

Two huge negative issues...

First, the packaging in the picture on Amazon was the packaging in which I was familiar from the trial deodorant stick I bought at the store; however, what I received had different packaging. Probably more basic, almost like an older version. Not sure what’s going on there...

Second, and more importantly, this stick (i.e. all three I purchased) is gritty and rough rolling on. The advertisement, along with my experience from the stick I bought in the store, says it’s supposed to apply “smooth” to the skin. It is very irritating and not at all like I expected after buying a stick (in the other packaging, of course) as a trial from a store...

I’d really like an answer on both these issues, vendor &/or Amazon.

Caused a rash with lumps and turned armpits gray

I was willing to live with the gray this deodorant turned my armpits because it worked so well, but after five weeks I developed raw skin and several painful, deep lumps under each arm. I was going to make an appointment to see my doctor, but then researched the symptoms and found that this is a reported problem with this product and clears after stopping use. It may not affect everyone this way, but beware. And I do not have sensitive skin by any means. (Excuse the hairy armpit in the photo, but I haven't exactly wanted to apply a razor to them.)

What good is it if it burns your skin?

I am not sure how it is possible that a pricier (for deodorant) and all natural alternative could cause the most havoc on my skin? After just two days of use, I developed horrible rashes and my skin burned and stung. I had lumpy almost lesion-like bumps all over my armpits. I am so disappointed. It’s hard to determine whether the product actually worked well after dealing with that.

I used to love their deodorant because it smells great and actually works. But now i can't support them. Out of 8 purchases (CVS, MF Website, Amazon, etc.), 3 had consistency issues. Almost as if it's a batch that wasn't properly mixed or was at the bottom it. Balls inside are the majority of the deodorant and it caused it to somewhat scratch you and then clump up into a bunch of balls which then end up making a mess everywhere. Too expensive to have issues like this. You can see what i mean in the picture.

COMPLETELY Eliminates smell....but left rach and cysts

I LOVED this product when I first started using it. It completely eliminated any smell throughout the day and I live in a very hot climate. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks of use, I began to experience significant irritation. Before I realized what was happening, the deodorant had darkeneed the skin under my armpit and created a bunch of painful, large cysts. After stopping use for about one week, the irritation disappeared. I would definitely suggest trying this product out and seeing if it causes any irritation. If not, this deodorant is a winner.

Solid bang for your buck (but not a miracle worker)

This is a pretty good deodorant. Is it life-changing? No.
I like how it goes on smoothly and doesn't "build up" on my skin and plug my pores like the aluminum deodorants do. It's also nice that it doesn't leave any pit stains.

I've read these reviews like "this survived my 60min hot yoga!" or "can last for 48hrs!" Maybe for some people this is true. For me, 10+ hrs of manual labor in a machine shop with long sleeves on and there is no way that I still smell good. 5hr outdoor picnic in 90 degree weather? Nope, not going to make it. But really... I've never used a deodorant that could withstand those things anyway.

Overall, like this way better than anything else I've used and I'll continue to buy it.

I did not like the grainy nature of it, but thought I give the brand another try and bought this one - it's great. the smell is not the most pleasant one, but it certainly beats smelling with sweat! it also does stain the clothes.

Loved this product until I hated it. The deodorant worked very well. No odor or sweat. However, after weeks of using it I began getting small bumps under arms. These became sore and raised. I did some research and this seems to be a reaction to a ingredient. These went away within a week of stopping using the deodorant.
If this deodorant works for you it's really very good unfortunately I cannot use it.

I have a lot of Schmidt's deodorant (even some with baking soda) but it's the only one that feel abrasive… Not really comfy to apply also… Will not buy this product again, will prefer the Schmidt's Jasmine deodorant
