This stuff smells great and last a long time I wish I found it sooner I have been using toms before this, but that always left me smelling bad after about 4 hours and it was greasy feeling, I have also been using that salt rock thing and that was really harsh on my pits but this stuff after applied feels dry and after 24 hours I still smell great. It is kind of weird to put on deodorant with my fingers but the outcome is worth it also seems a tiny amount goes a long way this stuff is a godsend for me. I have no irritation what so ever. LOVE THIS STUFF!!

UPDATE: This stuff has turned my arm pit dark, just one pit, which is sad I thought I finally found a better natural deodorant still no irritation just one armpit turning dark. I have been using this stuff about a month now. I don't know what to do about the color of my pit now maybe buy some skin bleach I will try to use it again at a later time because I really did love the way it worked and smelled also I bought the "DELUXE MULTI-PACK" directly from their website so i'm stuck with A LOT of this stuff.

Yo, I'm not even crunchy and I love this stuff! Granted, I've only had this product for about 30 minutes (I'll update in a few days for a more thorough review) I can tell you that the rose and vanilla smells absolutely delectable, kind of like a Turkish delight. For once, I actually want to shove my armpit in someone's face and proudly tell them to smell it... and they'd probably enjoy it. I almost wish I could eat it. If this product actually ends up having staying power (I'm going to test it tomorrow on one of the hottest days in Louisiana in a kitchen with no air conditioning) I can promise that I will forsake all other deodorants in favor of Schmidt's Rose + Vanilla. I'm a busty lady with muscly thighs... so I use rely on deodorant in many places to combat odor, sweat and chub rub and my final review will reflect that.

Update: this stuff is a god send! I've used all kins of main stream and even clinical deodorants but none of them are quite as awesome as this stuff. I tried it out over the 3 hottest days in Louisiana (we're talking 70%+ humidity and a real feel of 104+ degrees) while working a sweaty job! and this stuff held up the whole time. the rose smell, which starts out kinda strong but delectable, fades after a couple hours but I was smelling great for at least 12 hours of hardcore sweating. What is even crazier is that although I was definitely sweating like crazy, my t-shirt stayed completely dry and smelled like I had just taken it out of the dryer. I also tried it for boob sweat and thigh chub rub and it was perfect in both arenas. Like way better than conventional deodorant. No thigh chafage and my bra wasnt soaked in sweat. I can see why some people could get irritation. The baking soda is a bit rough and ebrasive, but Ive had no problems yet even after shaving.

* I do want to state that this product arrived melted through the glass jar and plastic packaging and I lost about half the product. I do not believe that this is a poor reflection on the product itself, as it is a natural product and bound to melt under extremely hot conditions like today, but rather Amazon's lack of foresight. Do keep that in mind when you are opening your product. My mailbox will probably now perpetually smell like this stuff. Honestly, I ain't even mad though.

The Holy Grail of Deodorant

Firstly, just so we are clear you do not need to be an environmentalist, hippy, think everything causes cancer or be a raw vegan to use natural deodorant. Not that there is anything wrong with people who are but there is a general misconception about who uses natural deodorant. I still get weird looks when my friends see my little deodorant jars.

I started using natural deodorant because my armpits were always red, breaking out and frankly embarrassing. Also, pit detox is a thing… read about it so you know what you are getting yourself into. Fall/Winter is a great time to switch, I wouldn’t recommend doing it in the heat of summer. It gets worse before it gets better trust me. Now that I am completely and fully detoxed from traditional deodorant (about 6months) I don’t get irritation or redness when I shave my underarms at all anymore.

I tried Primal Pit Paste (which is my second favorite), Soapwella Deodorant Crème, Jason Tea Tree Deodorant, Kiss My Face Smooth Deo and Weleda Citrus. Schmidt’s is by far my favorite. I like Primal Pit Paste but it is too soft in the jar. I like this because it is fairly solid and softens with body heat. Rose + Vanilla and Lavender + Sage are my favorite.

Do yourself and your underarms a favor and switch to Schmidt's Natural Deodorant!!

I love schmidts deodorant. The original stick formula is a little harsh on my skin most days, but I love the creaminess of the jar formula (you only need a lil bit don't over apply!), and I also like the sensitive skin stick. I alternate and use the jar most days, but will use the sensitive skin stick when I have just shaved my pits or I am on the go. I ordered the rose + vanilla jar here on amazon, but unfortunately within a week the formula started to change colors and dry out. Not sure why because it was properly stored, but I can't seem to find the expiration date on the jars. Anyway, I emailed schmidts customer service about it and THEY ARE GREAT. Seriously, if you have any issues with your deodorant email them and they will help you out!! They assured me that the change in color was normal, but they sent me a new jar anyways at no expense to me. I will include pics so you can see for yourself the difference in my first and second jar. This is a great company, and if you're looking to switch to a natural deodorant, don't waste your time/money on other brands like I did and start with this one. It really really works.

Wasn’t very impressed with this product. The smell is nice (if you like roses, it’s quite strong!). The deodorant itself is very crumbly which makes it hard to use - other such deodorants can be much better! It comes with a handy ‘shovel’ to help with application, but it’s no good since it’s all crumble. Didn’t find it as effective in sweat control either... overall, I quickly bought a different brand and never ordered this one again!
