In all respects. What I really like is the heavier weight over the Ka-Bars. What a fist full of power when you swing in this kukri, it slices and dices! I’m buying another for a Christmas gift for my best friend, he’s going to love it! I keep mine on my UTV 4 wheeler and use it to chop vegetation and clear trails. I took my time and researched all of the kukris in the $50 range being that I’m on a budget and am extremely happy with the Schrade Jethro! Like I said, it tops numerous other kukris in the $100 on up range. Also, another. Really Big Plus is the top notch kydex sheath! All the others in this price range have extremely cheap made sheaths and you have the end up spending another $50-$60 on a decent sheath. This one is a very high quality kydex sheath and works well protecting you from the very sharp blade on the Jethro. Trust me, you will not be disappointed! Now I’m waiting on Schrade to make the Elly May, Uncle Jed and Granny models! Ha!
I like the grip, though it could be wider. I did get a few hot spots from chopping the harder wood. Otherwise, it does feel comfortable in the hand, and offers a number of gripping options. It's more versatile than I thought it would be and I also use it for light chopping at my workbench.
I was concerned about how easily it could be sharpened. I tried out a few options using my SPYDERCO sharpener. The best option seems to be to lay the blade flat, or prop it on something with the blade facing up. Then to hold the the ceramic sharpening rods in your hand and run them along the blade. This worked very well.
I really like this blade. It fits a nice niche for me. I think the Schrade product are great if you take them for what they are. Schrade does a really good job at creating well designed stuff to meet a competitive price point. I use them for knives that I don't use daily, but that still need to do the job well when I do need them.
Either knife is a good value and a great tool, and both came ready to go right out of the box, so take your pick or do what I did and just get both... so many blades, so little money.

Weight is balanced.
Shoulder strap is ideal, or a good belt.
