These fly fairly well and are fun while they last but I will not purchase another one due to the lack of durability during normal use.
I also found a plastic container that is the same size as Tim Birds packaging. Between flights I keep him in this container (I use the part of the original packaging that is shaped like the bird and put this inside the plastic container), You might be able to forego the plastic container and just tape the original packaging back to gethor each time but I needed something more practical.
I've had many Tim Birds over the years. On my recent purchase they changed the rubber band. It used to be a thick black band that was not like a normal rubber band. It's beautiful but doesn't fly very well. It takes longer to wind it up than the time it actually is in the air. Read morePublished 2 months ago by S

We really thought this was fun to play with until the wing fell off the frame. We had to tape it back together. Not very durable but still hanging in there enough to play with.Published 6 months ago by Amazon Customer
This was awesome until my son wound it up and launched it into the neighbor's pool...
Until then he loved it. Had to drag him away screaming and crying.
