This book went beyond my expectations. Having a very basic High School understanding of science is recommended. This book takes the movie apart piece by piece from the viewpoint of physics and science and makes the world of Avatar seem real and reachable. All the pieces from space travel, floating mountains, magnetic fields, spaceship designs and Navi evolution are dissected and analyzed in simple and entertaining talk that anyone with a basic understanding of science can understand. I enjoyed each chapter as he explained the Avatar world as if were really there and was made possible. Baxter really knows his stuff and can make what would be otherwise boring science sound exciting. You will not be disappointed.
