Very well-polished game that truly captures the feel and character of the original Scooby Doo series. From the excellent voice acting (Fred, Shaggy and Scooby are the stand-outs,) to the laugh track and 'Chase' sequences - everything a Scooby fan could want is here. You get the chance to play as different characters as the gang "splits up" to solve a mystery. You may, for example, play as Shaggy and Scooby while they are looking for clues - then, the story line switches and you play as the other members of the gang who are exploring a different area. Sometimes, meeting up and switching characters. Great action sequences, as well. Only animated punching and kicking of the bad guys - not violent in any way.

In general, the difficulty level is relatively easy - making it very accessible for younger gamers. With co-op mode (and the ability of the 2nd player to drop in and out of the game at any time,) my 6 y/o and I have had a great time playing this one together. There are some spots that the younger set will probably need someone to help them with. I originally figured that I would drop in/drop out only when my 6 y/o needed help, but quickly found the two of us playing together for the entire game and having a great time.

The only negative thing that I can point out is that sometimes the camera can get a little wonky and be difficult to follow (a la Super Mario 64,) but this is only a minor complaint and probably true of most 3D games in some regard. It happens realtively infrequently, anyway, so it is really a non-issue in my book.

If you like Scooby Doo, then you should love this game. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the gameplay and accessibilty for the younger gamer.

This a great game to play. My 4 year old and I can play together and both have fun. He plays Star Wars and Batman Legos and this is right up his alley, with only Boss fights being a bit tough for him. I am picky about which video game I like to play, Super Mario, Batman Legos, game show games and I am really enjoying this game. It is very much like Legos games except you don't build things. I can see this game being finished quickly, only 22 levels, but the replay value is great as you have to attempt to find all the Scooby snacks and clues and tags in each level. I would recommend this game for those of you who like Legos and Super Mario Galaxy. This is not a difficult game, by any means, but a fun-for-all-family members game.

I rented this game for my 5 1/2 year old son, who loves Star Wars Lego. He seems to enjoy it. He does occasionally need help and it seems like you have to do the same thing OVER and OVER again to get to the next level. Very cute characters and I love that the characters say the lines on the screen, since my son cannot read yet and I can't sit there and read everything to him. I also like that when the game pauses it tells you the objective of the level (kill all the monsters, or explore) this comes in handy when I need to help my son things out. There is usually a trail of Scooby snacks to lead you, which again is helpful when you don't know which way to go. Overall, a cute and fun game and I would probably give it higher scores if I did not have to help sometimes with all the never ending monster killing scenes which tend to annoy me, and drag out the play time. I will probably end up buying it, with the hopes that I will not have to play that often.

I have a 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter that can't agree on anything except Scooby Doo. Knowing this, I though it would be a good idea to get this game. The downside of this game is that it is short. The upside is that my kids like to play the same levels of the game over and over again trying to find everything (well, my son plays the game and my daughter tells him what she would like him to do). When they get stuck, I try to help them out, but I like them to figure things on their own. Since they are only allowed to play video games on rainy days, or as a special treat, it takes them a while to figure all of it out.

This game is very fun to play. I have kids ( ages 5 & 6 ), and being Scooby fans; they absolutely love it. They both get excited and focused every time they play it. It's one of the few games we own that they haven't seemed to get tired of. It's not an very extensive game, as for there are only I believe 4 episodes contained in it. But they are very fun to play, and it's not super easy; it's about right for kids their age. Overall the ability to switch between all the characters, and different villians, as well as fun gameplay and video clips, makes this game worth the buy. If your kids love Scooby Doo and your looking to not spend a lot of money to make them happy, this game will definately deliver.

My son has loved this game since he was 4 years old! He's 6 now, and still puts it on now and then. He's a huge Scooby Doo fan, and this game has a fun mystery to it. Even my husband and I wanted to keep playing till we solved it. One of our family's favorites!

I was worried this would be too hard for my kids (7 & 5) but it is just right for kids just starting in video games. We don't have the skills to play a lot of video games very well, so I appreciate that this game is fairly easy to get around and if you fall off something (like a building) then your character is placed back on top - you don't die! It has very different stories for each level and I like that you solve the mystery at each level. It's like there was a point to working through the game.
