Rachel who seemed normal and level headed in the first books was just plain stupid in this one. I mean just stupid. There is no other way to describe it. And what was worse is that man was made out to look beyond third world. It was hard to read. Rachel never really talked to him , and never once thought outside of her feelings. I understand that it has to go both ways, but it has to start somewhere and she should know from her brother and the way he was that rarely does it start from the man.
The only good thing that came out of this book and the reason why I gave two stars rather than one was the fact it truly shows the importance of communication. If they had only actually talked they would have worked all of it out so much sooner. I pity people who might actually think this the way to communicate and have a relationship.
The whole series was entertaining with its very good, not so good and omg i wish skip this but i never do pieces.
The relationship of Rafe and Ari, specially in the first book got me a deja vu or a fanfiction feeling of a 50 shades scenarios or essence. I did not felt happy nor mad it just felt awkward. I liked there were several stories going on but I really disliked the cliffhanger endings. Good thing I have learned to start reading the so called series once they are completed, too many deceptions and money spent on those.
At times I felt annoyed, there was lots of repetitions, there was lots of minuscule drama made huge just to keep the story going. At times I felt good, I liked some of the dialogues and interactions within the characters with their significant other and within gender/family bonding, and at times I felt sad of scenes that added nothing to the story just made it looooonger.
Was not excellent, was not bad, it is an OK read. Be warned, you have to read the whole four books to get the story as none of them is standalone and the ends fell like random endings leaving you feeling nothing. That was a big minus for me, independent of how good a story is I appreciate a somewhat rational ending even if there is going to be a continuation book.
