Scorpion's all-time best selling Deuce pant just got better. Listening to feedback from the market, Scorpion챠development team ironed out the wrinkles on a proven winner to create the Trey. Keeping the Ballistic nylon and Sas-Tec CE armor, we added a removable H2O-Blok. waterproof breathable liner to turn this 100 percent breathable pant into a barrier against the elements. Adjusted NightViz reflective piping increase visibility while a hem-able cuff allows for up to 1 inch of tailoring. The quality is always in the details and this sub-200 jack-of-all-trades pant is second to none.

I first ordered size large after reading all the reviews. When I tried them on, they fit pretty good around waist over my regular jeans, but legs were just too long. The knee pads became shin guards. So I exchanged them to size medium. The new pair is too snug over my jeans. If I stand up, It's ok snug, but when I sit on my bike, it's almost impossible to ride in them. Just too tight around my belly. Length wise perfect though. Hip protectors positioned perfectly, and knee pads' positions can be adjusted up and down, so you should have no problem. I decided to were them as a pair of riding pants, not over pants. I can wear them over my underwear and base layer pants. And I just remove the inner when Summer comes. Very well constructed.
The pant is not bulky and fits really well in the seat, thigh and the length is perfect. The side zippers that go up to the hip make it easy to put the pant on and take off with my boots on. I ride to work every day in business cloths for all 3 seasons. The velcro around the ankles lets me even wear my dress shoes on cold days and keeps my ankles warm.
My only concern is that the waist is not adjustable and I am afraid that if I do not loose weight I will ruin the button. The button seems solid enough but it takes significant input to get it closed.
I'll be ordering a pair in XL to wear while I try to lose this spare tire around my waist.
Four stars due to sizing.
My quarrel is with a couple of poorly conceived design choices IMHO. These pants are advertised as having "Convenient, full-length side-entry leg zippers." Indeed, both the pants and liners have zippers that open at the ankle, and unzip almost all the way up TO the waist. But, caveat emptor-- they DO NOT open at the sides of the waist. So, instead of "full" side zip, they're really about 95% side zip. As a result, unlike classic leather motorcycle chaps (and all other "full" side zip pants I've ever owned), you CANNOT remove or put on these pants with your feet on the ground. You still have to shove/pull your feet & shoes through the waist and upper pant legs to get them on or off. Which causes me to wonder, why have such long side zippers in the first place? (Except maybe when riding in extremely hot weather you want the pants unzipped for more ventilation, secured only by the velcro???) So if you want a pant that goes quickly on or off, especially without removing your boots, these won't do it.
I have another quibble about the waterproof liner. I've never quite understood the utility of a waterproof liner. When I'm riding and it starts to rain, it's a whole lot faster & easier to pull on rain pants over top of my riding pants. I can't imagine any scenario where I'd climb off my bike, strip off my boots and pants, snap in the water proof liners, and then put it all back on. Just sayin.' The liner would be better advertised as an internal wind-breaker, mainly for cool weather rides. I've not had the chance to ride with the liners installed, so I can't say how "breathable" they really are
