When I received the items, they were exactly what I expected. There were numerous holes in them for the speakers to be screwed into, and only the three exterior holes to attach them to the doors. I knew ahead of time I would need to screw holes in the door, so I wasn't surprised by that. After drilling the holes and finding some sheet metal screws (be prepared to have a handful of them for attachment to the door and also for the speaker to the adapter), the adapters were sturdy enough and sat flush with the door. I had to grind off some excess plastic on the square tabs to make them lay flat (reason for minus 1-star).
In summary, if you are expecting to be given everything you need to attach the adapters to the door, and the speakers to the adapters, prepare to be disappointed. If you are realistic about the situation and know that some customization will need to be done, these will work just fine. Good luck with your install!

I was a bit skeptical at first because these feel a little bit cheap. However, after securing everything to the door, they fit quite well and do not allow any vibration to be heard (with a little modification, of course). These also prevent the need to perform any cutting on the door because the adapter creates a large enough space between the speaker and the door. Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase.
These adapters do require a little bit of modding in order for them to fit properly. First off, drilling holes in the door is necessary to mount them to the door securely. There are square pegs on the bottom two holes that help to line things up, but drilling holes for the adjacent screw holes are necessary, so that is three holes per adapter.
In order to attach my speakers to the adapter, I lined up the speaker and marked where the inner holes matched up in order to drill my own. This allowed for a more reliable and precise fitting of the speaker to the adapter. The speakers did not fit exactly onto the ring, but the new screw holes allowed them to the joined quite securely.
I laid down a bead of weather proof silicone caulk all the way around the adapter in an effort to reduce any vibration that may have been caused by the poor fitting of the pieces.
I would recommend pre-drilling all holes before attempting to mount anything. Next, place the silicone caulk on the outer rim and attach the speaker with the four screws that are provided. Finally, place the silicone caulk on the inner rim and attach the adapter to the door so that it fits securely. I had a small gap in between my door panel and the door where the speaker is located, but it is not noticeable and does not allow any vibration.
