I have light colored tile with light colored grout in my kitchen and dining areas and many dinner parties, so it is sometimes difficult to keep clean. However with this little tool I can keep my grout clean. I can keep on scrubbing as it is designed nicely and remains comfortable in my hand.
Thank you Scotch Brite and Amazon!
This makes the only effective piece of this product, the small white strip, which is somewhat like the rough side of a two sided sponge. As I have experienced, and others have noted, this strip is quickly eroded (even after a single use), especially if used on sanded grout - which is usually used on flooring to add extra traction. I'll admit the blue handle is more comfortable to use than a standard sponge, but not sure if it's actually more effective. Definitely not more cost effective, as these scrubbers are quite pricey, especially as they are not durable.
I can't help but think how bad this is for the environment. I'd estimate the blue part is over 90% of the material in this product and once the white strip is quickly eroded, (I'm guessing) most people just throw it away. The foam is likely non-biodegradeable.
I'd be curious if other purchasers have identified any uses for the blue piece. The only think I could think of is potentially as a cushion for moving framed pictures and the like. Even then, the blue piece is not an ideal shape to hold anything steady (steadily?).
In the end, I'll just rough it, using a standard two sided sponge. A little extra elbow grease, to me, is worth the reduced environmental impact.
The blue part of the scrubber is all just for gripping, the white part does the cleaning. You can't really get into corners well, so you will most likely need to still use another method for that, but as for grout-lines it works great. You can also use it on other surfaces or areas that have grooves or lines. I've even just used it in a circular motion on areas of the shower stal that had some hardwater buildup and it scrubbed it right off. Just keep in mind that the only part of the "scrubber" that cleans is the white strip - so it is not something you'd clean the whole bath and tub with since you can't cover much area at a time.
Overall I like it for it's specific purpose and a few random other uses - I have also used it to clean some old buildup gunk in wood grooves on a whim.
The best thing to do with grout, in my opinion, is to seal the grout lines with silicone or a similar sealer just after it has been applied. Renew the grout yearly, and that goes a long way in keeping the grout fresh looking and mildew free. However, if one is in a used home with older tile, this isn't always practical. Hence this scrubber is necessary.
It works fine. The white, more abrasive line on the scrubber is designed to fit into many grout tracks. It's not going to fit well with a very fine grout line, but it does get in there and cleans well in spite of this.
Mate this with a good cleaner, and it does a good job at what it is supposed to do.
I'm going to keep using this product. After all, grout on the countertop can get disgusting.

Misleading description. It says "package of 8" but there is only one. The product does work very well, but I expected to receive 8.Published 8 months ago by quilt artist
Best way to clean grout tile I have found. Difficult to find at stores when needed.Published 19 months ago by Robert Smith
This is pretty useful in cleaning nook and corners in the bathrooms and kitchen.
But not much of use for the flat surfaces
What makes this grout scrubber great is that, because of the way it is designed, it actually gets down into the areas you are trying to clean and it fits right into your hand. Read morePublished on June 19, 2011 by Foster Corbin
