I cannot speak to longevity (i.e.: how it sticks over time, if it leaves bad residue, etc.) as I have not had this long enough. I purchased it a couple of months ago and it has been excellent so far!

I used to label bins and boxes with p-touch labels. The p-touch will now be saved for file folders and smaller items. In labeling my totes I now use this chalkboard tape. It is so easy to write on with chalkboard markers (I use American Crafts markers) and the tape is easily removed from the plastic totes if you ever need to change out the label. You can cut the tape to size and shape desired. I use as-is for large totes, and cut down the middle to make skinner strips for smaller totes.

I am also thinking about using this for another project. I'm making a customized story-book / drawing-book for a family member. It has all sorts of different types of paper for watercolors, pencils, and more. Some pages are lined for writing stories. Some pages I am going to add strips of this tape so she can draw with chalkboard markers.

The one downside I have found to this is that it is NOT acid-free (I confirmed this with Scotch) so I cannot use it for scrapbooking.

A bit glossier than I would like, had to "dust" it in order for the chalk pen to write well on, otherwise it's a little runny, hence -1 star. But it's way easier to wipe and rewrite after a long time than my precut labels from a different brand. Plenty of tape, more than enough for my need, but will repurchase if I need more.

Not much to say that isn't already in the title.

I like having the ability to easily cut a label into whatever size I want from the roll.

There a bunch of cheap label and chalk marker kits on amazon and both the markets and the labels in those kits don't seem to hold up very well for lots of reviewers.

I decided instead to buy name this name brand label tape and a name brand chalk marker (I bought an Uchida of America marker. American craft markers are also good.)
