Welcome back to the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza! In Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the old and aging animatronics are joined by a new cast of characters. They are kid-friendly, updated with the latest in facial recognition technology, tied into local criminal databases, and promise to put on a safe and entertaining show for kids and grown-ups alike! What could go wrong? As the new security guard working nights, your job is to monitor cameras and make sure nothing goes wrong after-hours. The previous guard has complained about the characters trying to get into the office (he has since been moved to day-shift). So to make your job easier, you've been provided with your very own empty Freddy Fazbear head, which should fool the animatronic characters into leaving you alone if they should accidentally enter your office. As always, Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for death or dismemberment.

Spooky, Nerve-Racking, and Fun

Spooky, suspenseful, mysterious, and so fun to play!

This Prequel Sequel puts the player into a new office with more cameras and more challenges to overcome during our 5 nights (or 7 nights...). Freddy's back, and his gang have a new look. The old, broken-down animatronics are joined by the new shiny, no less creepy toy versions. Foxy is the same as always: itching to jump into your face, LITERALLY! We also have the Puppet, an odd entity with no circuitry, no strings, and can only be subdued by a music box that winds down faster with each night. And then we have Balloon Boy, an animatronic so despised by everybody that, online, he has been nicknamed with the most vulgar word in the world, regardless that he's the ONLY animatronic that won't kill you.

And I also love Mangle. Sure, she's broken and quite dangerous, but you can't help but find her and her radio static lovable. Just don't let her into the office; she'll bite your head off!

Each night provides a fun challenge. The animatronics are all clever and have their own patterns for how they approach you. That music box on the prize counter must CONSTANTLY be wound, and your flash light is your only means of detecting animatronics as they make their way towards you, either through the vents or the hallway. You also have a Freddy mask to wear, which is your only disguise against Freddy and his friends. Mind you, this mask won't work on ALL of them.

The backstory is smartly put and very intriguing. Most of the time I didn't even notice it, that is, until I started watching the Youtube videos detailing its lore.

A great addition to the original game by Scott Cawthon. If anything, it's probably better than the first.

One last thing: don't drink or eat anything while playing this game. Trust me . . . just don't.

Clearly a more intense / chaotic work than the first game, but it is considerably different.
After seeing the series of 5, this is probably one of my top 2 favorite in the entire series.
Lots of animatronics make this game very chaotic and difficult at first, but the increasing difficulty throughout the nights helps provide challenge that is not too difficult but not to easy / boring.

My only qualm is the lore in this game seems to be a bit less in-depth than many of the other games. Better than the first game, but not much better than other games. Minigames between rounds help the lore continue, but it was fairly confusing at some times and obvious / easy to see in others.

TLDR: Not the worst lore, great gameplay, difficult but not impossible. One of my favorites.

I bought this, of course, for my daughter. She has been a fan ever since she saw Markiplier play the first one on youtube. I've watched the videos but only once ventured to try the game itself. Not for me the jump scares and constant stress of hoping that nothing sneaks out of the shadows, but I can see the appeal. Great game for adventurous kids but those who are more skittish should definitely not play.

Finally bought for my son. He loves it. When he plays, I have to stay in the room because it freaks him out. Its cute watching him get so worked up. :) I played for a minute with him, and for an adult I was actually on edge for a minute. Its just a game that makes you anxious and gives you a quick scare. Harmless fun. Who doesn't like that?

The second game is far harder and has a lot more random jump scares than the first game. It took my friend and I a good while to get through night two unlike the first game where it didn't take that long. The same thing happened with night three. There are a lot more animatronics and we caught a glimpse of the elusive Shadow Freddy as well as seeing Foxy (old one) in the Service/Parts room which is also rare. Another rare image we captured was the marionette/puppet actually half out of his box.

This game is even more fun and scarier than the first game. There are NO DOORS as most people are already aware of. The place itself no longer runs out of power but your flashlight can. Your heart will race faster than with playing the first game. Foxy is no longer "shy" and will consistently appear in your hallway. It's a lot more random and harder to tell which animatronics have what kind of patterns. They always change. And a little tip: Balloon Boy and Foxy team up. BB doesn't attack but he will knock out your flashlight permanently which leaves you open to Foxy jump scaring you as he only goes away after strobing him.

This game is terrifying! No doors, just a hollowed out Freddy mask to wear around the animatronics. More animatronics, more horror! No worrying about running out of total power, just flashlight power and winding the music box. A friend and I made it through night one, and tried twice to make it through night two. The first time we tried night two, new Chica PULLED his camera away. Not we put it down and were attacked, the animatronic pulled the camera down and attacked. During our second attempt at night two, the music box ran out and quit playing. Balloon Man was in the left vent and New Bonny in the right. We didn't get the box wound in-time. Shortly after we were attacked by an unknown force when we put the camera away. During both attempts, a skeletal animatronic was moving around. I identified him as Foxy. I was right and he tried to attack us many times. Great game but twice as terrifying!
