This collaboration brings together folding puzzles and the characters from Jujutsu Kaisen. I was very pleased to find familiar Japanese voiceovers, and it should bring a smile to fans of the show in particular to hear the characters quip and struggle with you through the story's mystery.
This time I completed this puzzle set solo, and I found the game to be rather friendly to a single player experience. However, I feel that another friend would have been fun to play with, as there were definitely a few parts where there were multiple things to do or try, or at least to have another person to help bounce ideas off of. While I found the puzzles were rather simple to learn in complexity, I found the folding puzzles rather refreshing and unique in comparison to the other SCRAP escape game kits. I was worried that the folding would get complicated, but thankfully the majority of the difficulty was centered around finding out what you want to do, and how to use the folded puzzle to progress. As for negatives, it is definitely a 1 game session kit. Some of the game pieces become unusable after you solve the puzzle. This is rather unfortunate as I like to keep the set in good condition for my own collection of puzzles, but I did enjoy how the pieces were used even though they have been drastically altered. Also, I am a fan of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, and I feel that a lot of the charm comes from being a fan of the series. I think that someone foreign to the series may not feel the same way as I do about the game characters and voices, which may impact their experience.
I had a good time, and I hope others do as well. While I think I may have had a more fun experience with SCRAP's Escape from the Two Base Stations kit (also found on Amazon), I did enjoy having to fold and fit puzzles while supporting the characters on the team. Overall, a good purchase in my book, and I look forward to the next one!

Yep, that's basically it. If you loved that feeling of filling in a Highlights Magazine in the dentist's office as a kid, and want to feel that today with your friends on zoom, then this is the game for you! Can you find what's different in the pictures? Can you follow basic instructions? Can you cut along a line correctly? Then you'll solve this in no time...
Oh and do you like watching poorly written anime characters talk AT you for far too long, with no actual animation and not even enough budget to draw all of the characters (they made some silhouettes... seriously... they did that.)
Ok let's first start with the materials... You receive a simple folder (mine came damaged with a big cut through all of the papers because of cheap packaging) with some thin glossy paper with print... No real diversity of physical materials and honestly fairly mediocre layouts on each page.
There is a QR code for you to use to get to a website but I'm not sure why you'd want to use that because you'd have to use your phone and if you're playing with friends, that would be a pretty horrible medium... So there's a random link to a website and that starts the "game".
The game literally consists of painfully simple "puzzles" that you might remember from any school elementary workbook or educational magazine... The twist is that you have to fold one piece of paper into different shapes to get you answers to questions. You figure out how to fold the paper by finding random icons and connecting them properly but most of the icons are poorly designed and not very clear.
To be fair, the design of all of the folding is quite brilliant and honestly... I can see how much effort and design was put into this and its quite good and its impressive how many ways you use the paper, but that does not mean the activity is fun in any sense of the word.
You continually just keep folding this cursed paper (reference intended) and get quite tired of it fairly early on... Every time you fold it you get a long tedious video of non-animated anime characters saying fairly inane things that really doesn't add much to the feeling of the game. The only reason this part of the game was fun for our group was because we read the different characters and gave them silly voices and it just became a joke.
Also, yes, there's the usual SCRAP 2 bits at the end where you have to find some stupid details that were in the various documentation to solve the last few "puzzles". At least in previous versions there was something semi-cute about how it fit into the story line with the activity you were doing... In this case it was just nonsense and they really missed an opportunity with other materials they gave you... But this is par for the course with all SCRAP games.
Look, if you like workbook puzzles and origami then this is 100% the right type of game for you, but I just don't see how this is worth $32 for an experience like this. There's so many better puzzle games, escape rooms, and experiences that you should be supporting with your money and SCRAP just keeps making the same game over and over...
Seriously just skip this one... Stop giving SCRAP money and make them change and actually make something good for a chance. Spend 5 minutes and look for locals or small businesses that make much better experiences for you and support them... Don't give the $ to $CRAP and accept what they're giving to you.

We bought this game and finally got to the point where we had time to play it. Unfortunately on the website after scanning the QR code we found out that there’s a time frame for game play. 12/21-12/31/22. So if you are trying to purchase this after 12/22 it won’t work. Amazon needs to pull this from their site. No where on this Amazon page does it say that you have to play within a certain time. Had we known we would not have purchased it. Keep your money please. Sad because we bought this for a person who really loves this anime show. Very disappointed. Will also be leaving seller feedback.

I really liked this game and even though I am not familiar with the series I enjoyed the puzzles and had a very fun time. I played many escape game kits and I think that the puzzles of this one are on the medium to difficult side (especially if you are a beginner), but the hints were very helpful and didn’t spoil the fun. I liked using physical elements to solve the puzzles and I enjoyed the fact that the game time for this one is longer compared to other game kits (it took me around 2.30h to complete it). Overall I am really satisfied and I think that a Jujutsu Kaisen fan would be extra enthusiastic about it.

Very fun, wish I could play it again
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 16, 2022
I saw this months ago and really wanted to give it ago when I could. Playing it was very fun, being involved in the story and solving the puzzles with my own 'cursed technique'. The Japanese voice actors voiced the lines which is very cool. I wish they could the english cast to dub it too, but the either way the voice acting was great.
My biggest problem is I wish I could play this again, but you only buy access to playing it one time. So if you want to play it again you have to rebuy it. I'm sure this is to stop people sharing the code around, but they could do it so once you start playing your pack with your computer, only that computer will work with that code or something.
Also it would have been nice to have some original art of the characters and their actions rather than just screen shots from the show. But I get way, and everything else was original.
I would recommend this even if it's just because you're curious. I plan to play future online anime games scrap makes. Especially if they put them on amazon so I can buy it.
