First and foremost. I am a HUGE fan and every day user of Klein tools. Working in the Industrial Automation/Electrical field is demanding and requires a good set of tools. Finding another tool that matches or even comes close to the quality offered by Klein would be difficult.
So yeah I love Klein. You might even call me a fan-boy. I however have to give the 4-in-1 rotating spin cap top screwdriver a rating of three stars as it is less wow and more "meh". The tool itself is built well and the bits do seem to be industrial strength as advertised. The tips however do not stay where they are supposed to and easily fall out. Within the first day of carrying this tool I had managed to lose the larger of the two included tips and within week had lost the other. I am not sure if it is a problem with the inner shaft dimensions of the screwdriver being off, or a poor design of the snap ball/spring on the tip itself, or a combination of both. I however did not anticipate or consider that tips for such a small screwdriver would be viewed as being a consumable/replaceable.
Pros: 4-in-1, lighten the load of your tool pouch or bag. Quality made screwdriver shaft, body, handle, and spin top. Comfortable and easy to hold.
Cons: Screwdriver tips do not stay in place, fall out, and are easily lost.
Advice: Stay clear and stick to the basic screwdriver set. Yeah you may have to carry more, but the odds of losing them are far less.
tried using it , was 10 feet in the air on a ladder a tip fell out and could not find it .
threw the rest of it out , climbed down and got my 15+ year old craftsman out of my bag and finished my day.
called and got my money refunded which was ok , but as a 25 year union electrician I expect better from klein as just about every other tool I own are klein
My major concern about the tool is that the bid does not lock in well and could easily fall out of the holder.
Doesn't seem to be magnetic or snap in to place very well. Not sure if that's just the way they are built or if I have a defective tool.
Either way I'm pretty crafty person and could get by with just about anything. Just bought this because it looks cool.
I find my two most-used tools are a knife and a screwdriver. I already carry a knife, and for a while I tried carrying a Victorinox Swiss Army knife as a sort of do-all tool. It worked-- kinda-- but I found myself needing a slim screwdriver for taking out recessed screws, actuating pneumatic valves, etc. Tool bags are fine when I know I'm going to be working on something, but not to lug around all the time. I tried a belt pouch with just a few tools, but I found myself constantly taking it off and leaving it somewhere when it kept snagging on everything. I even tried a Maxpedition-clone pocket organizer, but it must be for bigger pockets than mine, because I couldn't fit it anywhere. I want my hands free so dragging that thing around wasn't an option.
What I really needed was a slim 2-in-1 screwdriver. I wanted to buy an SK because I am a big fan of their tools, but the price almost doubled overnight (from $8ish to $14 at the time I was looking). $14 is not expensive for a quality brand like SK, but the Klein caught my eye. I've been using Klein tools for years, so I pulled the trigger.
I'm a little surprised at how convenient it is to have a small screwdriver that can ride around in my hip pocket all day. It doesn't stab me in the leg even when I sit or squat down, and I use it more frequently than I would have thought. No word yet on longevity, but I have Klein screwdrivers from the 1970s that are still in good shape, and they've not always led an easy life. A small screwdriver like this should see much less abuse, and if I get a year of frequent use out of it, it won't owe me a dime.

However I have now had to replace it completely as as the small ball and spring that keeps the tiny screwdriver bits in the main shaft has popped out and my eyes are not like microscopes so I can't find the damn things. I can now only use one end of my screwdriver bit it and the other end has to be held in with a piece of tape. I have purchased another one to replace this one however I am so scared of it happening again I'm still getting by with my old one.
