I use it even though it is not the best because it is the only thing i can get my husband to do after a shower and it is the only item on the market that does daily shower cleaning.
I did want to say that I have tried everything to clean the water deposits off of my glass and have not found ANYTHING that will work, so this may be the best available, it just doesn't work well for my shower doors.
Since I posted this the first time I my original sprayer died and I replaced it with the newer model (the one with 2 buttons). The newer model stopped working so I thought I got a dud and replaced it again, and less than one month later... stopped working. Now I think I am going to give up on the unit... I don't want to have to replace the sprayer every 2-3 bottles of solution.
I did try Bar Keepers Friend and it didn't seem to work the first time I used it but when I used it again (as suggested in a post I read) I did see a difference. I have since bought yet ANOTHER automatic shower unit since the replaced one died again. :(
If your unit dies, a way to make it work again is to rotate the spray head to the left... If you are looking at the unit from the bottom you should attempt to turn the spray head counter clockwise. This trick was learned from calling the manufacturer.Read more ›
The refills come in two scents (Fresh) which is the original with the white cap, and Spa with the purple cap. Fresh (white cap) is light and unobtrusive--that's the only one I recommend. Spa (purple cap) is overpowering and smells like chemical perfume. My eyes water if I stay in the bathroom after using the Spa scent.
BTW, if you have a good sence of smell, avoid the other version of this stuff at all cost! It is totally noxious.
The Bubbing Scrubbles automatic shower cleaner is terrific! To save on batteries, move your shower dispenser out of the way of shower head so it doesn't get hit by direct OR INDIRECT spray. I have an old hanger which I leave on the shower curtain rod. 99% of the time, the device stays attached to the shower curtain rod hanger. After my shower, and I've dried myself off in my shower, then I move the automatic sprayer to the hanger on the actual shower head and push the button. When it is done spraying everything, I detach it from the shower head area and then attach it back to the hanger on the shower curtain rod. Batteries last AT LEAST FIVE TIMES LONGER this way.
If the device seems to not work.follow these steps:
Detach automatic sprayer with bottle attached from your hanger.
In a wet area, like a sink or tub, turn the device over in one quick movememt (there might be some drippage) and pull the automatic sprayer away from the bottle. You will be able to reattach the bottle again by reversing these steps when you are done.
Open the battery compartment and take out the batteries. (Bet they are at least a little bit wet.)
Leave the battery compartment open to let it dry for a bit. Using paper towels, dry off the batteries and test them to see if they really are dead.Read more ›
