About the Author

Brad Schoenfeld, CSCS, is widely regarded as one of America's leading fitness experts. He is the owner of the exclusive Personal Training Center for Women in Scarsdale, New York. Schoenfeld is a lifetime drug-free bodybuilder who has won numerous natural bodybuilding titles, including the All Natural Physique and Power Conference (ANPPC) Tri-State Naturals and USA Mixed Pairs crowns.

Schoenfeld is the author of six fitness books, including 28-Day Body Shapeover and the bestseller Look Great Naked (Prentice Hall Press, 2001). He is a columnist for FitnessRX for Women magazine, has been published or featured in virtually every major women's and fitness magazine (including Cosmopolitan, Self, Marie Claire, Fitness, and Shape), and has appeared on hundreds of television shows and radio programs across the United States.

THE BEST WORKOUT/FITNESS BOOK FOR BOTH NOVICE AND EXPERIENCED

This book is different than any other workout book in so many ways. For example, it has workouts for the gym AND the home. It has pictures for each excercise. But the singularly most effective aspect of this book is that it explains that (just using this as an example) the triceps, deltoids and chest each has 3 "heads"-you can't just do 3 sets of one triceps exercise and expect that to impact your entire tricep. So, Brad Schoenfeld has detailed 3 different exercises (3 sets of 15 reps for each muscle targeted) just for the triceps alone! Same goes for other body parts. In the beginning, the book is geared toward people just starting to workout, to get the basics. I've had this book for years (paid $20. back then) I have shown this to many friends (happy about the Amazon price!) who have, in turn, ordered this book. Highly, highly recommend. Pay it forward!!!

I love this book! It's a great tool for not only creating your own efficient strength training program, but is a great reference for a multitude of exercises. If you're looking for something with diet advice though, this isn't your book, it's all about the workout aspect of body sculpting. It includes interviews with some women of fitness, which I found inspiring. It has a chart in the beginning so you can quick find exercises based on what you want to exercise, and what equipment you have. I would recommend it for any woman whether you're just starting, been at it for awhile, or even experienced strength trainers.

I'm currently on my 8th week of working the program outlined in Sculpting Her Body Perfect. I started lifting weights about three years ago at the gym, basically just doing the same 12 or so exercises over and over. I reached a plateau that I wanted to cross without having to pay a personal trainer $50 a session. So, I got a used copy of this book, and I really wish I had started this program years ago when I was just starting out. It makes such a difference to be educated in how muscle breakdown and repair works, how you really need to focus on form, and how important it is to REST between workouts. The combination of this book and a re-vamped high protein, high fat, low carb diet has gotten me closer to my fitness goals than I have been since I started this journey. This book is user friendly and very inspiring.

Very well laid out and helps you understand where to start and when to step it up and how. This book was great for a starting point on fitness or body building. there were some parts i wish there was more information, but over all it is exactly as i expected it to be.
